Back to the Story.
… Meanwhile, in this future time, if you remember, Dye and Deb were looking for the inheritance Dye’s father Terrance Tass dictated to his son Dye in father’s will. In the last story they had all met at Harris’s property in city of Bain where Mr. Harris-Tass had his True home. Harris comes home here on weekends, for works in far off city of Windshire where the Dictator has claims on most lands about, or he thinks. Dye unbeknown to himself was leading Uncle Keen to his dad’s home to pick up a snack to eat. A freebee. Thus, all met by accident under same roof, and a big dinner was served. Now, all are feeling better, and the air has been cleared much.
… As party settled down Dye was able to speak to dad. He asked, ‘How are you going to get your land saved from dictator. Strife, I know he will come in our direction.’ Terrance said, I’m not sure, but it will help to build in area, just to show somebody is owning it, if nothing else. Then Harris said to Dye, ‘I wish you and your Wife to help my 10 builders to start building in your area. I will advertise in area flyers.’ Dye spoke up saying, ‘Of course. Deb and I used to deliver flyers for a bit of money. If you add an ad into the daily dozen, we will go back to the paper place in Bain, and get a bundle to pass out in our area by the park. We have several good friends there called Explorers, and they can help pass the word out.’ ‘Sure,’ answered Harris. ‘That will be of great help.’

Chapter 1.
–
Getting back to Dye’s Area.
… When Deb and Dye first got back to their little area by the park, they had the workers build their home up right away. As the missing walls were rebuilt, Deb and Dye’s life became instantly easier you bet. Good sleeps at night for one thing. For another, ample wood to burn in the new fireplace, and no more winds flying through home as you are trying to take a shower. With Deb planting in garden and Dye overseeing the building of his small town there, things became much more settled.
… Deb would daily care for their garden and visit the wild patches planted in several areas for those less fortunate. She would plant more in wild areas for she took from there often in past. As the growing season went on, produce was great. It was a good year for gardening. That was lucky for them.
… There were places at park where they still made use of the washrooms and picnic tables. Often the builders would gather in park as Deb would prepare a feast for lunch. Dye would leave his supervisor job, to help Deb bring all the food to the many picnic tables built the last few months. Thus in mid-day, it was often like a party atmosphere, cheering the people up before going back to many hours of work till dusk. It was hard work, but their town was growing. It did not take them long to finish the two rows of new homes. By mid-summer they had started another street, while others of area bought up the first. Money and people were coming in very nicely at times.
… They also noted That many people in area were finding Indian Arrowheads and other type spears, broken up beneath the dirt, they were tilling for cropland.
Dye told them, he would talk to his dad, Terrance Harris. Well, he did have a talk about this, and Harris sent the comments through the lawyers Firm he was a part of. It came back that, there had been wars in this area for the owning of land. This was way back over a century ago, so there was nothing to worry about. The variety of arrowheads were interesting artifacts, and some had small collections of them.
–
Backhoe and Digging.
… One morning as eating breakfast, Dye looked out window and saw a back-ho with small shovel, digging big holes on a lot, opposite the park building area. He called Deb to watch out window and they discussed why and what for. Deb suggested, ‘Talk to your dad of this and ask what was happening if he knows.’ Dye accepted and said, ‘later.’
… Shortly after that Garr and others came knocking on door to report for work that day. Dye was able to explain to them what was happening, so they all went over to this dug up lot. As they entered area, the three men there were leaving, and did not say a word. Garr called out to them, but they bustled into their pickup truck and beetled down the road.
… Well, a minute later the new owners of this said lot, came home and were beside themselves. Of Course, the owners talked aggressively to Garr’s group, for the young men of the Explorer’s group were not about often. Garr answered, ‘Hold on there! No, we are not part of that team.’ The owners of this lot, a younger man and wife, apologized to our people. ‘Sorry, we work nights and just got home to this. I am Jim Sander and my wife here is Bell.’
Mr. Sander then spoke of two others who have been harassing them, the last few days. Sanders told of the two telling them that the piping in ground needed fixing for too old. Now, Dye knew there was no piping in ground here yet. Dye and group talked together and figured these were people from the group that had been digging, on many of the lots in area the last while. (For Treasure?) Garr suggested they should ask government people or phone that company selling property insurance, to find what is going on and whom is at the bottom of this. ‘If it is the insurance company, this is Mr. Harris’s land, and he is being violated against.’ spoke Dye.
Later, Dye did call dad as well as Chuck, but no one knew what these diggings were for, or by whom, was it happening.
–
Disruption in the Works.
… This info did get back to Bain through Mr. Harris, so there was a big meeting with news that the desert land including tunnels there, are being rezoned and it belongs to Harris. Father told Dye, ‘Swindlers! You take care of your people where you are. We may go through rough times. You know, rebellious persons, mainly Revenge and group. It is amazing what could happen over time. I have no idea why your ma… Dye was shocked for his dad was tearing up and turning away. Dye did what he could and said, ‘It is alright dad, we will get this land in the end. We need justice. You must know high persons in that profession, do you not?’ There was no answer from Dad, so Dye went on with, ‘I know one of my friends who lives in another area. His parents are high in justice department.’ Dye’s dad turned back and said, ‘Sorry, just something of past. You take care of Deb, OK?’ ‘For Sure,’ answered Dye, wondering what Deb had to do with dad’s land.
… With this they had people arrange to put out a warning, and notes put in tunnels for Revenge’s group. It said, professionals would be there to dynamite area for treasure. The Note also said, there will be professional builders working in many places. So, as of this time, all in area should desist trespassing on private property. If you have a problem with this, phone your lawyer’s office for rules and consequences.
… Shortly after this, another notice was delivered throughout tunnel area. Chuck had to flee his lot in desert, mainly because he was being inundated with threats by others. He heard of a dinner at Harris’s home in Bain, so he ventured to find said area.
… Well, at Harris’s home in Bain, as things settled down, much conversation was had. The dinner was being prepared and the weather was foul, so they had the afternoon there to catch up on things. As Dye wandered about, he saw Walley. With concerns of his dad, Dye thought that Walley being quite chummy with dad, may know more of what is happening. So, Dye quietly wandered toward Walley. ‘Hi Walley, can we chat?’ Walley answered, ‘Of Course, here let’s sit in this corner. After settled and having a look about, Dye said, ‘Please, I have to ask you of higher people in Justus System. My Dad is very concerned and came to tears the other day. I have never seen my dad cry, it kind of shocked me. He does not confide in me much; would you know what is bothering him? Is it his land concerns?’ Walley shrugged it off.
… They were sitting in a couple small chairs, in a cozy corner just under the stairs, as people were milling on by. Then a plate of munchables came by. ‘Oh yes please,’ uttered Walley, ‘I am starved.’ So Dye and Walley, gladly helped themselves to a handful of carrots and celery. They snaffled off one of the small bowls of dip and sat quietly munching away. Walley smiled and called to a passerby, ‘Hi how are you. Good thanks.’ and waved them on. All were taking seats in this large Living-Dining area at Mr. Harris’s home in Bain. Then Dye shouted, ‘Oh, there is Chuck!’ Walley replied, ‘Here, I will get this chair.’ Chuck smiling, hugged them both before asking if he could sit with them. ‘Of course.’ said Walley. ‘This is your chair.’
… As they settled Chuck uttered, ‘Like the weather hey.’ Walley answered, ‘Hoof, it is cool out, better to be indoors with friends.’ ‘Yes’ replied Chuck. ‘I had to come to this dinner so to talk with Harris. His notices put out and about, got the people upset and some were picking on me to antagonize. Radical, I had to get out of there. All I need is for Revenge to come over to my place and put a bomb there or something. My parents were already killed via bad people, I sure do not wish to put myself in that position again. Strife, It scared me so, when young.’ Dye asked, ‘So where did you live after that?’ ‘Oh, social services came by, and I stayed with 5 other kids in this large home. It was OK but I was shocked and lonesome for my parents. I knew nothing of outside world. But you learn quickly, when on your own with a bunch of strangers.’ ‘Yes’ said Walley, ‘I was in similar situation, but I brought it upon myself. My dad was a tyrant, and I would escape by running away sometimes.’ Dye commented, ‘Yes that would be scary, too. I had it pretty good when a young child, but later my dad just left. I did not know why, and was bewildered. Mom and he would talk by sending letters, but then mom was mad at dad. I do not know what happened really. As a kid you do not ask many questions, that is adult stuff.’ Walley spoke up saying, ‘Well your dad was heartbroken, for your mom didn’t write anymore.’ Dye questioned, ‘But mom was upset cause, my dad didn’t write anything back from her 4 letters she sent off. That was crazy, and we got no answer from him.’ Suddenly Dye sat up straight in his chair facing Walley. He asked, ‘Walley, was that why my dad would have been crying the other day?’ Walley didn’t say a word, but just toughened his lip as looking down. Dye uttered, ‘Heck, I must find dad.’ and he quickly left our little group.
–
Chuck going Home.
… After a few days Harris asked Chuck who had been staying with him in hiding, to please return to his home.
Chuck Dales stipulated, ‘Only if my trees are still there. I have found solace within my 8 big trees.’ Harris asked, ‘How can big evergreens be growing in that desert? Must be springs in area.’ Chuck replied, ‘Radical, I believe so. There are many bushes and a tree or two near the river, but they get their water from Revenge’s river.’ Well, after a phone call Chuck was content to go back, for Harris said, ‘I will text a note to my builders right away.’ So, with a roundup of people, Garr and Dye took many with them to escort Chuck back to his hideout in that desert. When they got there the trees were still there, and builders preceded to build picnic tables and dig firepit. Chuck was happy and with help from all, things settled down eventually.
–
… As they were relaxing in later afternoon, Chuck heard something. He glanced out window and there was Walley looking about at the new items in front. Chuck exclaimed, ‘Oh Walley is here.’ To that Dye, Chuck and Garr followed out to greet Walley and chat a bit. The builders-guards stood their ground with one on front porch and two within the home. It was a nice sunny day, with adventure in the air. Chuck asked, ‘Please fellows, come with me to check things out. I will be more at ease if all is normal in area.’ ‘OK’ said Dye. So with Chuck leading, they wandered toward Revenge’s lot where the picnic table remnants were.
… Well, there were changes. They hesitated to go there as they looked about. What they saw was a true picnic table, like new. There was still no umbrella for the old base glued into concrete, but there were new baskets there, probably ones those people had caught more fish in. Our group backtracked, cutting back toward Revenge’s home, with the back porch light on. From there, they went down to the river’s edge. All was OK. The birds were still singing as the river was still flowing. The opposite shore still had its white sandy skirt and its bushy greenery.
… As all were satisfied after watching river gurgle by, they scurried back towards the path leading to tunnels. As they did, Garr was asking questions. This is first time he had been in this area, so Garr could not contain his curiosity. He asked, ‘Say lads, Why are we scurrying along? What are you all being frightened of? There is just an empty house there. Be of good cheer, I see nothing to be frightened about!’ Chuck slowed down and explained, ‘It is the one who lives there, as in Revenge.’ Chuck was speaking, as they passed the rocky edge by that big tree, where they had hidden, for revenge went right near them.
(Remember that close call? It was that time he passed them and followed trail to tunneling.)
… Well, with the conversations about past, Chuck was more than happy to forget the path to tunnels, so they turned towards Chuck’s home to venture back. When Chuck saw the nice new picnic tables and firepit, he said, ‘Let’s calm down and have a good lunch before you people leave here. Mmm.. I have frozen franks in the ice box. Would someone light the fire and I will be out in 5 with the meat and buns. I like to grill the buns too, adds more flavor.’ They all smiled and bustled back to Chucks home. There, all even the builders had a good lunch.

Gaining a Foot Hold again.
Back in Dyes Village.
… As time went on, Deb and Dye circulated many fliers weekly and much news was had. But also, others were calling lawyer’s firm asking to advertise various things. One advertisement was a portable shower they had in one home. Harris said ‘Yes, for the workers would enjoy a shower after sweating all day.’ Also, others suggested rooms to stay in. Wow was this place changing quickly. But also, was the money running out just as fast. Much was left till last minute for it was summer and soon things would slow down with the winter’s approach. They had to make hay while the sun was shining.
… Dye visited and talked with dad many times, but he had troubles with the past, so he could never bring up the past situation of mom and Dad. It would just leave his mind. This time he asked Dad of further plans.’ Terrance answered, ‘The best thing one can do now, is follow the rules of all and wait for an opportunity. Besides, you and Deb are surrounded by friends and have opportunities for major jobs.’ Dye agreed, ‘Yes, I do not have to look for my inheritance because I am standing on it at this time.’ ‘Yes’ and both chuckled. Then Harris said, ‘But we will have many meetings along the way. Be prepared to move forward as time goes by.’
… Deb and Dye finished the dinner in Father’s home of Bain, and they went to their home again to check on property. Dye said to Deb, ‘We will check on our past area being built up by the river. You know, where we settled first.’ ‘OK, Sure.’ uttered Deb. Dye had hired a few guards, but he was still concerned to check on all areas. Since father told him to name his area in the last meeting, he discussed situation with wife of which she agreed, ‘Oh yes, others should have a chance to name our area too. We may get some interesting names. Don’t you Think?’ Yes,’ responded Dye.
… So, out went some flyers to all, and they arranged a general meeting for the people in area, to come have a say in the naming of their town. They included others to come, as Chuck and Travis. ‘But where did Travis live?’ asked Dye. ‘Well no,’ uttered Deb, ‘I do not.’ Then Deb suggested, ‘Boy, I don’t know. Phoned Garr, he will know.’ Dye went to their little phone corner wondering if Garr would even be home. He is another one that is studying in a college nearby. But Dye called anyway just to see. ‘Hi Garr, I am glad you are home. How are your studies going?’ ‘Hi, I am doing good. I am kind of busy, do you have a problem.’ ‘Yes,’ said Dye. ‘We wish to invite Travis to come with Chuck on our trip. Do you know Travis’s address?’ ‘No sorry but leave that with me. He calls us sometimes. I will let the others know, for sure.’ ‘Harvest Moon,’ said Dye, ‘That’s great, thanks.’
–
… Well Dye’s area has certainly perked up. Many fields of lush gardens growing even up to water’s edge. Those who left a few years ago had to return. When they heard of evidence in building a proper city here, they came back to help and get their previous property going. Thus, instead of land with wild grasses and a few trees about the waters there, the land is full of growing crops, sometimes 5 feet tall, along with scarecrows and whistling machines to keep the birds and rodents at bay. With many fruit trees and huckleberry or raspberry bushes and even some crab-apple trees, this place looked like a lush valley. So when Deb or Dye delivered flyers to all about, our two were often greeted with the people, taking them out to show off their produce. This was a great pick me up for all involved and helped to motivate all in our town. Being later in growing season, food was plentiful for freezers and tables. Thus, Deb and Dye had no problem with food for this gathering. It was potluck and oh what luck they had.
… Dye and Deb concocted all sort of games for this party to thank the people of their village. Chess, checkers, volleyball, Ring Toss and even a basketball catcher, which would have to stay on the road as game was in procession. There were ample sitting areas, for a while back Dye had asked builders to keep and chisel any big logs as sitting areas and to spread them about town.
… At the gathering, many names were written on paper, from Dragon Bend to Green Valley, along with Windy Plains and Shady Plateau. But the one Deb had entered of Dragonfly Cove, that was the name pulled out of canister. Deb heard this from the stories Dye told her of when he was young. Some may have felt that Dye cheated, but not. After all, it was Dye’s area to build up from his dad. Nobody objected and it was the most poetic, so stuck.
–
… Later as spring was on its way. With many homes still as skeletons in Dragonfly Cove, Dye talked to his dad again. In the winter, Dye had gone back to his flyer route to pass time, but he was getting anxious in getting this town of his, Built, so at least some could live there. Father and Dye talked of needing more funds somehow, for a small well is not going to keep many people alive here, especially in summer. Dye was also not sure of the main waterline coming from Bain. How long would Bain let them use it.
… As a result, Harris took opportunity to have another meeting and was expecting at least the top people of his team to attend. He figures, if the people knew Owners as Friend to help out, they may be willing to help financially also. In this next meeting Harris told the group of his past. ‘As Tass I was lucky not to be killed, but I outsmarted dictator. I knew things he did not wish others to know, so he had me work in Bain as head lawyer, but I had to keep the residence he provided for me in Windshire. That was, so others would not know things had changed. You see, I was his right hand and overheard things, just because I was there. He seemed to be a possessive dictator earlier and this got him in troubles but also richer. Now he is older and has lost his edge.’
… ‘Dictator originally picked me because I happen to be in his way as he paraded through town that time, Many years ago.’ Harris paused and went to the desk near. He took out a folded paper and handing it to son Dye. He commented quietly, ‘Read this later son.’ Harris went on with, ‘It was interesting and exciting, and I was looking for a break in life. But I did not like his games, which became clearer to me later on. Thus, I went against him and got caught but then could weasel out. This was in my younger silly years.’ After all was squared about, via my Lawyer mostly, I changed my name to protect myself, and at that point I portrayed myself now as Harris.’ As Harris finished up others had many questions so here is more.
–
Fathers Story.
… In the early days Father Tass left Mother and child to find a way out of their financial difficulty. But he headed to lands he owned via parents, but never knew. He settled and was just getting under way when he became trapped within what was then, dictator country, for had no money to get away. So many years ago, lawyer Priene changed fathers name, from Tass to Harris so to protect the land father owned within this country under dictatorship. Thus, in business world he was Harris but very few kin and friends knew this. Under fathers lawyer it was kept hush-hush by legal rights.
… Dye’s dad is not that old. Dye is only child and is in 20s. This makes dad in 50s only. It was Dye’s relatives who received the inheritance early so to protect it. The dictator city that arranged Dad Terrance’s Will and Testament, was from fake info and Dye got a fake inheritance paper among his belongings from his relatives. Was it a trick or maybe a god sent message.
… Dad Mr. Tass had an excellent job within the distant city but was demoted cause would not play their games. He ended up being lead-hand in the Insurance group, our Jason one of Explorers, worked with. He still maintains his residence given him in the big city but has to often travel to the work in small town of Bain, near our groups and near the land that he holds secretively. He holds other secrets, such as the young lad Josh in that far off land.
… Then, the dictator directed Tass to spy on This rival King, but that episode many years ago, had given Tass much comfort in his hard times, knowing he was not the only one dumped upon. A lot of times Harris still stays in big city though. (The company does not disrupt workers too much, for enemies could undermine them. Keep all allies near and enemies even nearer.)
… So as many stories all wound down, all ate a big meal of Turkey and Ham, later to settled for the evening. There were discussions of where to go next, for although Dye has found his dad and his inheritance, there were still no leads as to how father’s land was going to grow and prosper, especially under a dictator’s reign. They needed as much help as possible.
–
Dye’s Area in Park.
… Harris knew the water line was by the park, so he paid Son a visit. While there, he asked Deb and Dye if he may take up residence by them and have builders create an eatery here with Betty and Freda at the head. Harris said, ‘Just sandwiches at start, for the workers that are helping to create my land.’ He told Dye, ‘I will pay City of Bain for the water we use so all here can use the park toiletries and others as they are hooked up to Bain city.’ Dye said ‘Great’, so they all helped a few hours a day and got several shacks up to serve food and general clothing. Most structures had a firepit for heat and cooking along with an outdoor tap in park area, for running water.
… Meanwhile most including Dye and Deb, still worked their former jobs, although some took less hours. And during the summer seasons, Harris employed many more workers to build, mainly moderate homes for living, as well as a few stores to sell basics. He also gave the residential farmer more money to build a proper veggie shop on his lot, so long as he could plant more variety. Many were still depending on him alone. All was agreed and he could charge a moderate price for his produce. His prices were very cheap but that is how he survived, for not many here. But now more and more will be coming, and many immediately for the building of Harris lands.
… Soon Dye and Deb had a major hand in sending out help calls again, through their two-page paper, now called The Harris Harold. It was mainly calling for volunteers and people who wished to invest in this new city in the making.

Chapter 2
–
Explorers.
… Now Patrick, one of the Explorers had been away in university but far off from our busy center by the park. Frank who contacts Patrick once in a blue moon, had queued him in. For it was of great importance to our Explorer team in that they are young and looking for change and adventure. To own property of a new city would be of great value when city got larger. Gold mine of land sitting here with being so cheap at this point. The Explorers have planned to buy up a piece of land, each in their turn. Patrick being away in university was not about but there were comments of buying extra land for him. Thus, he was not left out of their doings back home here.
… Explorers knew Patrick would get some time off University and they are hoping that would be soon. But in case they are not home when he comes back, they habitually leave messages on wall to bring him up to date. Many of them were waiting the outcome of these new homes going up, and what the price was going to be. After all, if you don’t act fast, businessmen would come in and buy up land only to sell it for twice to three times the price. The property they own now was more or less free, for the owner Harris left it be, only wanting his land looked after is all. And it was, through our groups.

Desert Cave history.
Another meeting.
… Now along the way, there was bad talk heard of Revenge at this gathering, thus Harris explained,
‘I have heard some say, Revenge had killed many people because he is a killer, a hit man, but in reality, he has killed no one. He takes them through the tunnel in the property he visits often. This tunnel in the side of the mountain that he resides near, goes to an area underground where slaves work for him. But there are only menial jobs there. It’s more a learning ground. When they are prepared, as in learning of job and manners, Revenge transports them to the Big city in the distance, as slaves for the head honchos. Revenge gets moneys and prestige of being a Main Man. Thus, he cares for no one but his job.’
… Harris went on with, ‘I have also heard of Deb and Dye being transported to Desert. The ones who transport people to desert, are workers of Revenge. His people collect and leave ones in desert to be picked up by Revenge, to be taken through slave tunnels. Because Deb and Dye were mobile shortly after drop-off, they were able to elude their capture to the slave tunnels, but thus only to be taken there later. Also, for any who wish to know, Chuck is an innocent, but by living near Revenge, he does see odd things. And Walley is an independent.’
Then Mr. Harris spoke up saying, Walley will you?’ ‘OK Sure.’ Harris wished to sit with Son now. It’s been a long day, so Harris asked Walley to take lead.
–
Walley explains,
‘I knew where Dye’s Dad was and worked for him. Dye’s dad is a hero. He is in lawyers’ firm but on side is helping all he can. He relies on Me to scout outside the big city he is forced to be in.’ ‘Dye’s Dad Mr. Tass, owns much land, but now under the name of Harris, arranged by his good lawyer in the city near Dye. Harris’s lawyer Priene, knew what was going to transpire. The dictator in the far off big city, of Windshire, has acquired that city by robbing other cities of electricity and water. Dictator has massive underground tunnels, where all water and electricity are channeled, so has access to valves that can be shut off to the smaller cities. Thus, cities have to pay him for their life energies.
… They become like slave towns for must give the dictator sway of main items. Lawyers of the big city wander into smaller cities and threaten them to hand over major buildings where food, water, electricity and other major goods are kept. Once the lawyers change locks to these buildings, then slaves of Big city come in to own and maintain them. Thus, these slaves gladly obey for often they were the poor ones in smaller cities. ‘Come to the big city and gain riches galore.’
… With that advertised on all television channels, owned now by the big city Windshire, everyone knows how to get rich. Wouldn’t you be tempted to do that? They become rich and receive large companies to call their own, but they have to fly straight, or their electricity and water will be cut. Thus, they hold a large burden and may be run out by local people or Dictator’s people, if they slip up.
… Walley explained, ‘Horn of plenty, We have been working on a way to settle this too. Windshire is in the north while desert is south of that, stretching east and west. Outskirt towns as Bain are south of desert. So, to fix things, the rich people in outskirts need to order electricity from the southern big city of Sheridan. They have specified to our elite group here, that they will provide the use of their extra dam in the north of their property. Later we may buy this said dam, but that is unforeseeable at this time. Since most of land south of desert belongs to Harris, he will step in and save the day. His land, will finally be set free to grow into livable communities at cheaper prices. If any of you disagree, let’s have that out now. For shortly we will be stepping ahead with this endeavor.’
… There were no comments to the contrary and cheers were had. So as days passed each chose the home to stay at and the venue to pursue and all got back to normal, or somewhat.
—
Sheridan City.
… Later, Harris talked of having to go to Sheridan City in south, to talk things over. They will need much money up front but Harris being with a lawyer’s firm and having rich friends is a start, but it takes much to start an area with electricity and water right at hand. Any city or peoples, have to have much money to afford guards and pay government people to govern a land. Also, to buy the dam and have the water and electricity channeled to their land. Usually this is accomplished by governments, but this area of land is not owned by any, for the desert was destined to be part of this area. But for human appeal, a desert with little water is a wasteland. Thus, government left it be.
–
… Harris called a small group and had a meeting in Bain lawyers’ office, but it was found, that most of Bain is for dictator or at least the core of businessmen there. Now Harris knew that many on outskirts are not for Dictator so he will gather those people by putting flyers out with Dye and Deb’s help. The ad will ask people to come help create our new land, free from tyranny. They left it as that, and all helped to get the people interested to sign papers to send back to lawyer’s building.
… Harris gathered our groups and many of the workers, together in the park to talk of plans. This park of no return used to be baron before Bain took over. They created a recreation area of walks and Bridge and a fountain which is rarely going. In background is still some wild forests and weedy areas. A bit of true nature.
… For now, Harris discussed with the group, of there being one water pipe to this land. He said, ‘Most on this land including desert area are on artesian wells and septic tanks. Some of the areas in park region, are hooked up to water from Bain, but most use well tap, in three areas. Two in desert and one near park. Harris said, ‘This does well for now, but we need a dam for enough water to progress onward. Sheridan as we were told, has a dam just south of here. If we can afford it, we may buy that dam for this area.’
… Harris was trying to rally more people to help in building and buying areas so to support our groups efforts. But shortly after that, winter did come, and all wound down to a halt. The row of twenty homes on both sides of this road were unfinished. With no money to pay the workers, the assembly line ended soon after. Some stayed the extra week or so and provided volunteer work but when materials ran out, they could do no more.
… Patrick heard all about this and it was quiet for several months. But Patrick was in university. He was studying Geology, and they had maps of our area there. Patrick knowing of the grounds, he knew how money could be made if one was fortunate enough to come upon precious rocks within the earth’s rich soils. He had a bird’s eye view of what could be done if he could find an opportunity. But he knew if he ever did find a gold mine as it were, he would have to be very careful as in the advertising of. He knew the desert had an area of opportunity but was there quarts in that area? Just because area has the right ingredients, does not mean the elements were created within that area. But, he knew there was an area where coal could be found in the outer portion of Harris’s land, but it was close to Sheridan which may prove to be a battle ground. He figures the best way to deal with that is to have a chat, and see what Sheridan thinks of having their boarders shortened by 5 yards. The thing is, whichever area has a piece of land with a prospect on it, they are entitled to a share. It is far better to beat that, so this share situation cannot interfere, which can hold up the works majorly. But Harris owned the land Before any government came into area, so it is truly Harris land, via Harris’s father Tass.

Traveling to Sheridan.
… Explorers got a phone call near Christmas from Patrick. He left a message asking them to get Dye and Harris to meet him in Sheridan on Thursday. ‘Meet at City Hall Please.’ So, Dye talked to Harris, and they agreed to leave work and get a cab out to Sheridan or as close as they could. This was a jaunt, for neither knew much about Sheridan. Patrick’s directions were to go via eastern outskirts of Sheridan and report of the land in that area. So thus, it was done with not much trouble, for Harris hired a travel agent to come with them. This travel agent was well adept at this area, so he told them what to expect all the way through. Patrick was right, for the land in the key area was not inhabited and full of bushy weeds. It was like a desert with greenery. No large trees, just clumps of wild grass and bush.
… When they met up with Patrick, they were tired and hungry. Thus, Patrick asked if Owner of Sheridan Mr. Robert Vandames could come for Lunch on them. By the time lunch was over it was agreed that Harris could own the 5 extra yards for that short span in Northeast Sheridan properties. Sheridan and company did not plan to go into coal business.

Digging in the Desert.
… As our three got out of City Hall, they hurried over to said area. Dye asked, ‘Heck, Why are you in a hurry, why don’t we marvel at this land that is ours.’ Patrick said, ‘Because I have arranged for a driller team to check on area to see if there is coal there. Come on, we are late.’ So they hurried through the brush till got to cleared area, and it is true, there was nothing spectacular there that they saw. There on the horizon was a tall drill and they were already working. So, Patrick and the other two, scurried through brush dodging the small tumbleweeds lying on ground in this still day.
… Dye was getting tired of this scurrying and fell behind and thought, What the heck, all three of our persons as in Harris Dye and Patrick, could see in the horizon the drilling machine, so if one did not keep up no problem. So Dye called ahead. He called, ‘Balderdash, I am going to rest a minute here. Keep going and I will catch up with you.’
… Dye was tired and started thinking why they were here. He thought, ‘I have much to do in my corner of this land.’ Then as his eyes caught his backpack he remembered his snack he packed and wanted to eat something. He thanked his dad in his mind, for Harris talking of being prepare for anything in life. Dye slowed right down and found a larger rock to sit on. He rummaged though his backpack and found the candy bars but also the note his father had handed him that time back. He had been thinking of ways to help his dad thus thought to read this paper from his dad. He opened it carefully and it was an official letter signed by a King. Wow, what was this about. … A Spy Job. Wow…. Uttered Dye.

History. (Spy Job).
Job Description: Find this King and His land to the West of us.
Notation below … is required: Specify His Future General Plans.
Written by: Terrance Tass
… As we look into this large area with many homes of moderate style, we see a large church upon a hill to the right. But we also see a large castle of quality, beyond that. There must be a just king here, for the homes are well kept and the people milling by, seem to be well kept too. As we visit this coffee shop, we come across a young lad who is dressed in rags. But the strange thing is, the people tip their hats and greet this one whom all seem to know. Is this the King? He does have a couple of guards with him. Let’s follow.
… As we follow along the few streets here, we heard people calling this person Josh. He seems to be looking for someone. We follow him to a sweet shop where another lad was waiting. Then, they picked up another lad at a home nearby. The gathering of the clan? It was also noted that, the one had fishing rods packed in a long, what looked like a gun bag? They wandered into the back of this one’s lot to where a large lake resided. There will be fish for dinner!
… As we watch these fellows, they are good friends joking about and having a great time. There is a motorboat there as well and later they were doing paperwork too. School chums? As day wore on, they caught 10 fish, but they did not take them home. By the lake there was a pit, and a fire was started to fry all these fish. They took them back to central town and gave them to people passing by. It seemed to be certain people, not everyone. After the fish were all given out, the boys went their ways. All in all, that was very nice of them.
… It was then noted that the young lad called Josh seemed to lose his spark as he wandered, presumably to his home. The two guards seem to give him much space. Well, he did not go into a home but into the church on the hill. So, we follow.
… When we got there, church session was going on. The sermon was all about how you had to do this and that but, the lord would be very angry if you did this or that. It was very strict rules. The lad was in back row right near door, so he could slip out with ease. How long are these services anyway? All day? Josh seemed to be sitting with a friend also, but this friend was older. (Uncle?) The one giving the sermon I think is the King. He wears a crown and has 5 guards helping him on that large stage. They stood at attention as well, like an army. It looks like a very regimented service to me. No Love there.
… After congregation broke, it was discussed among the people, of their jobs, mostly. As time went on, we figure these were the people who serve the King and his castle area, not the people of the town. Town’s people were not allowed to enter church. The Damned?
… As more time went on and darkness was about, we find this Josh in castle area, just outside big iron gates. I asked, ‘Hi there, do you live in this castle.’ He smiled, ‘Yes sort of. I wish I could go elsewhere. I cannot though, for my dad says I am not old enough and that I have a grave responsibility in the near future. I do not wish to be digging graves. But I do not think that is what he means.’ ‘OK, sorry for the questions, but Do you feed the people of town?’ ‘Oh,’ Josh laughed, ‘No I just like giving people a break. Life can be hard, especially of what I hear in church.’ I replied, ‘Well, it does not have to be that way. You should travel and look at areas in other parts of world. Then you would get a better picture. Thanks for talking, we have to go now, it is getting too dark. Just one more question before I go. Don’t places have streetlights here?’ ‘Oh no, Dad would not have people hanging about streets at night, the demons would come for them.’ ‘I uttered in shock, ‘Oh, well that is debatable. We will see you about.’ Josh asked, ‘Where do you live?’ I answered, ‘Me, I live on outskirts of Windshire. See you, Bye.’ We smiled and went our ways. (I hope that is satisfactory for you Sir. I could not enter castle.)
Order Signed by: King of Windshire Sir Charles Whinbee
… After reading that kind of boring letter Dye thought, well it is my dad’s history I guess. As Dye put paper away and was glancing about, he noticed a twinkling in the distance. He wondered what the heck. He knew it was the sun which was not warm but shining down relentlessly. Well, the map from Patrick of land in area did not show the smaller hills about. The height of these small hills was insignificant on the scale of the maps Patrick observed in university. After a rest of 5 minutes Dye went over toward the hills a distance away. As he went, he became dumbfounded as he got nearer this hill. It was shining in the rocks there, and it was much. He didn’t go close but just stood there.
… As the sun was changing direction it stopped shining. He wondered if this was the fact that kept this hill a secret from others. Heck, anyone would be here and digging if they saw this. Dye was still unsure though and thought to not say much of it. Besides it may be fool’s gold or something like that. Dye does not have much knowledge in rocking so he felt he should not say anything. He then heard the drilling stop and thought he better get back with the others to find out what the outcome was.
… Dye did make it back to drill, but the news was not good. The coal streak under this land was not formed fully so not pure enough to bother with. Patrick did not have enough money to get the guy to drill in the desert, but Patrick asked if he would take a rain check. The guy obliged because he was looking for another area to bring his family, away from the unpredictable life in Windshire. ‘Yes, I would not mind. Maybe you can give me a deal later when I come here?’ ‘OK’ spoke Patrick. ‘Epic, leave me your card and I will remember.’ ‘OK Great Sir. Where in the desert would you like me to drill?’
… Right away the guy got out a map from his truck. But there was no place to put this map and the wind had picked up. It was blowing about in the breeze, but Patrick stressed, ‘Over this area here’, as he caught sight of the area on map. It was in an area that none of our people had been in. ‘OK’ said the guy, ‘I may have time to set it up, but I will not be able to complete it today. But I will come tomorrow early.’ ‘Cool,’ said Patrick ‘I will meet you here tomorrow.’
… By this time, Dye was busting for felt the guy should come to that shining hill and tell them what it is and what to do with it. Dye figures the guy, would have had experience with many items in the ground. So, after the guy was completed with getting drill back on this large truck, Dye blurted out to Patrick of what he saw. The guy overheard conversation and spoke up saying, ‘Well yes, I could tell you what it is. May be fool’s gold or just gold staining if there is copper nearby.’ He went on with, ‘But if copper it would be worth as well. Come show me where this is.’ Dye turned to Patrick and Patrick said ‘Why not. I will pay you for your time Sir.’ ‘Thanks’ said worker. ‘Lead on.’
–
… So, on went Dye, Patrick, Harris and the driller. No one had seen this hill, so they were relying on Dye to lead. He of course got confused for there were many small hills in area, but on they trekked. They went near two hills, but nothings seen. Dye got frustrated and as they were going toward another hill, he looked back for felt something was wrong, and there was the shining. The sun was at a different angle so did not shine in same places as he noted previously. He called, ‘Oh there it is.’ So, the three backtracked around closer to east side of this hill. They went carefully along, watching the shine till they got to the hill and felt the exact rock that was shining. Driller took a small hammer and chipped a bit away. He said, ‘No this is Slate is all. Sorry fellows.’ He turned in another direction and there was a crevice in same rock formation. He tested there by chipping away some then uttered, ‘Bingo! Here is an expensive rock. It does not shine but is worth much.’
… This cliff of rock was plain looking to our fellows, but the driller got a large brush of wire and plugged it into truck. As it rotated it brushed the surface of mountain. Well then there were all kinds of colors. Mostly dark but some yellow and golden color as well. He told them it was crystallized and probably could produce much wealth. But then he said, ‘I cannot do this for you. I do not have the right equipment here.’ He turned to Patrick and asked, ‘Which would you like me to pursue first Sir?’ Patrick looked toward Dye and Harris asking, ‘Gees, What should we do?’ Harris uttered, ‘Indeed, Whatever you think. We are already here.’ ‘Epic,’ uttered Patrick. ‘We will do this first sir.’ ‘OK great. I will leave this machine here and bring a small machine tomorrow.’ He stopped and said, ‘You know gentlemen, if I start this, I may be here for several days. Is that OK?’ ‘Yes’ said Harris. ‘This is our land, so go ahead.’
… So now it’s just a matter of time till they will have funds to get others to build piping from the southern city to Desert and outskirt areas.

Rock Mine on Sheridan land.
… Later Harris had a talk with his top lawyer and found this rock mine is not of their property specified when agreement was made with Coal mine. Well, they have dug much treasure but were uncertain what to do now. Lawyer said, ‘Well you have to come clean. I will comment to another that you will be coming about this. I will get you an appointment with a lawyer here. Can I text the time for you later?’ ‘Yes please,’ said Harris.
… So later they were called into Sheridan for a meeting. Harris had some riches to give them and took paperwork of thus. With this Sheridan agreed to give them the extra land and allow them to dig up the rock mine, if they paid half for the riches. All agreed cause there was still many riches in that rock mine. By this time Patrick had to go back to schooling.

Rocky Finances.
… As months went by, with many workers and helpers creating the town of Dragonfly Cove, near our people’s Park of No Return, Dye and friends felt life was progressing. Harris was able to have a small group come to area and get an electrical wire piped in from Sheridan Dam. It was going to cost them a fair amount but was unavoidable. When there is ample building going up, electricity is very needed with all the power tools in operation. Otherwise, it would be game over. Harris was concerned for with buying the extra land and trying to get things going ahead, this endeavor was costing much more than intended. Even with the bit extra coming in from the colored rock mine just found, it was still going over the edges. Harris was so concerned that he called a meeting one weekend within Bain city.
… At this meeting all showed up. Harris relied on Betty and Freda to come up with good foods that were not too expensive this time. The meeting was in the main home but because the weather was so nice for this time of year the party ended up outside in back side yard. Deb and several other wives helped Betty and Freda in their small kitchen and Harris also told them to use main kitchen if cramped. The main cooking staff was not there every day now, but Freda and Betty will manage.
… This did not stop the party to bubble over in laughter, and they found many a game to play in back yard also. It was a time for relieving tensions that many upper people were experiencing. For they did not wish to alter their plans of making Harris’s area overrule dictators. They wish to provide cheaper electricity and water to all who came for thus. That was their way to beat the regime but first they had to make the town, that this gift could be used within. Their sights were far into the distant future, so this is no time to get stuck in their plans.

The Garden Party.
… There was much merriment happening with a volleyball and or tennis net and up in the far corner a basketball hoop. With several of the higher ups and their partners all participating within the du, there were many things happening at once.
… There were two playing a chess game in the corner near the bushes there, and as they took their turn, each would watch the others in basketball or tennis with ambition. Then one looked up and here comes the basketball straight for them. They jumped up to catch the ball so as to not ruin the game table, but the chair beneath them went sliding down the weedy slope striking something that sounded hollow. Both the chess players were startled with the sound, for it was quite loud, as the basketball when bouncing down into the bushes below. It was a small ravine between properties and had never been gone into. But it was the type of ground that looked as if you would sink into the abyss if not careful.
… A few seconds later there was a line of people standing looking down into this ravine. Harris asked, ‘Who will come help me get the ball.’ Several stood back but the one chess player said, ‘I will … Sorry. I was the one who did not catch the ball when I meant to.’ Harris commented, ‘Great, you go get the ball and I will grab the chair.’
… Now this was all fine and dandy but as the ball was retrieved from the distant bushes and hurled up to the other players, Harris said, ‘Gees this chair is stuck.’ Dye came barreling down the rather steep slope and grabbed the chair also, and they managed to get it untangled from the thin metal covering, that was broken open by the chair. They could not see what was beneath this sheet, but one could easily get cut with this thin now shredded mettle. As Dye and Harris were viewing this, a couple more came down and grabbed the edges to lead the sheet of mettle away. Well, they found many small, what looked like cardboard boxes, and they were all full of stuff. Garr came down to view these boxes with others and it was all different types of rocks. Garr announced, ‘Sir Harris, you are a rich man.’
… With that many came down to hear the awes and ooze that were being uttered by the group. Dye said, ‘Here is the treasure we have been looking for.’ Garr stated, ‘Indeed. Mr. Harris, what would you wish us to do with these boxes Sir.’ Harris just puzzled. Dye suggested, ‘Do you have a room that you can lock in your home here?’ Harris uttered, ‘Well yes.’ ‘Great’ uttered Dye, then Jason commented, ‘You don’t want to be hood winked, Show us where to put this and we will carry as much in as we can.’ ‘OK’ was answer as Dye helped his dad up the hill and went in with him to see the room. A minute later, Jason upon being guided by Betty, came into same room with the first box. Dye said quietly, ‘Folks, there may be bugs come out of this, but it is safer to keep this put away out of sight.’ ‘indeed,’ agreed Harris. Thus, the party ended up being a good treasure hunt and many thousands of dollars’ worth. But who owned this. Although these treasures were not of much worth till sold, our people were pleased as time went on. Dye was satisfied with life and all the avenues transpiring. He commented to dad of the latter he was given and said, We can do this together. Harris said, Oh you read my letter. Ha Ha…
That was in my foolish years son. I just gave that to you for more verification of where I went and what I did, after leaving you and mom. I have had many doubts of that situation but life hands you stuff that you have little control over. If we keep our whit’s about us, we will get this land that is rightfully ours. Right?’ Dye did not comment but smiled in unison with his father.

Chapter 3

Patrick’s Assignment.
… Patrick had returned to university and while in schooling had caught wind of this King in a far off land. He took literature in his schooling and had to prepare stories and write articles of real life situations. So the next time he came home for holidays, he did some snooping and was wanting to check the findings out for himself. The other Explorers were not about, and he had read all the notes left there as norm, thus he felt free to go exploring as this group always has. He decided to go for a visit. But Patrick was careful. He did not barge right into an unknown situation. So on this short trip in early spring Patrick talked to people all along the way. When he did get into the village limits, he knew more about this Kingdom than many of the common person knew. He wrote many notes as a story formed.
–
The story goes as thus.
… In a kingdom far, far away, (Well, quite a bit far away),
there was a royal family of a rather larger scope.
The King of this family only had one son, and of course, they did not get on. However,
the mother and servants raised this son well and he was a smart lad when had to be.
He was the type of person who was not interested in the status Quo.
He would rather stay out of limelight, and this was a difficult difference, with father and son.
–
… This Kingly Father felt, you had to be front and center, or others would do as will. He felt with this kind of shenanigan’s, your Kingdom is not under your control.
Now father did have a similarity with his son. He delighted in watching humans create worlds of their own, making things from nothing.
In father’s younger years he would edge people to be creative and his Kingdom was enhanced in this way regularly. He felt it was the juice to creativity.
… Now having a vast empire, (so Vast nobody knew, not even himself), he had many chances to exploit this fancy of his. But as life goes on, he is aging and things naturally are shifting. He sometimes envies the agility to be creative in many ways. At his age he has set that aside as he resides far, far away within his castle with wife and friends about. But he knows to keep his friends close to him and his enemies further away. For the two groups modify each other and keep all in balance.
… Now his son called Josh, is not too near but does have a mansion. He has been set up with servants and knows many venues of business and exploration. He is one of nature and wilderness. That would be his domain. He is free to come and go, for Father and he are not so much in loggerheads. Father cannot be bothered in petty stuff. He is too busy trying to maintain his status quo. But son has been told, to have left his castle and his father’s land. Son wanted a freer life. He wanted to feed the world. So, he has fled, or that is what they thought.

Entering Castle?
… As time went on and Patrick got to the castle area, he felt he was in the know enough to carry on. But would he go home or continue to castle? It has been three days on the road, and much info had already been collected from all the folks about. Besides, Patrick was beginning to get weary and felt that maybe these notes should be taken back to the Explorers, so to derive a plan or to whip info into essay style. Patrick was right near the castle and he tried to see if there was a way to wander within the yards. Maybe he could talk to the guards there, which would surely be standing by the castle doors. He wandered a bit more to find a well trod path. This must be the way to the castle, he thought. He went down hill but hesitated, for did not want to be in view, for fear of being confronted by angry guards. Who knows what they would do to him. He was not invited.
… Shortly after there were huge gates which were open, or slightly. He wanted to get a bit more info about this castle, especially if it meant a better story. So he squeezed through the gates, ducking inside to hide in bushes there. As inside, right near water’s edge, he wondered what they had in this river or lake, that would stop people from passing through anywhere along the parameters. Maybe alligators, or crocodiles? That’s what he thought when a child, but there seemed to be nothing there. He saw fish which were obviously the giant Koi. You know, that Chinese fish, but they wouldn’t stop anybody. Patrick noted that these fish were clamoring as if very hungry. He thought of the chicken bones he had in his pocket from last time he ate, a few hours back. As he went fishing for bones, he wondered if these fish would eat, but with mouths that big they could probably eat bone and all. He finally found the bones in his knapsack and took the longest one to hold over the waters.
… Well the Koi went away and these other, smaller fish came. Maybe they would eat these bones clean. That would relieve Patrick of having to take bones home again. He dropped bone into water and they did eat and seemed ravished. He noted they were rounder fish than he remembered catching when young. He wanted a better look, so took his baseball hat and scooped three out of the water, onto the grassy shore. He was shocked to see many teeth on these fish. They were eating machines, no wonder they were so hungry. He didn’t know much about fish, although he had fished when younger. But he thought, these must be the ones that will eat anything. This made Patrick think of getting up further into bushes. He threw all the bones he had, into the water and went up and away from there. But then Patrick heard arguing. He was still right near castle, but could not see what was happening.
… There were many trees about that mote, to hide the castle from general eyes. Patrick shuffled himself to find a sparsely treed area. He managed to settle on a log, in this small Meadow, so to await any activity from castle. There were some wildflowers about this area, so when he did settle, the bees were buzzing about his face. He took his arm and flagged them away, just as the 2 guards, at this balcony door, hit the floor with their rifles. Patrick stopped shooing the bees and ducked his head.
… There was a lady’s voice saying something as the guards opened the double doors to this balcony, on the third floor. Patrick was a few yards away but could hear quite well. The King had large robes on but no crown. He was bald as far as Patrick could tell. He said, ‘I know they can help me. I want them to spend all their time deciphering an antidote for me. I will pay whatever moneys they wish.’ ‘But dear,’ said wife, ‘what if people do not believe, that there could be such a remedy. They already believe you are a bit eccentric. This will lead them to believe you are talking gibberish.’ Then Patrick saw King turn to wife. Then the King shouted, ‘Poppycock, you are talking beyond your capacity, now desist. Go make me a drink, I want time to think. Go!’ Then wife turned and through her arms in air saying, ‘Alright, but I warned you.’ ‘BE off!’ said King, ‘You tend to your doings and leave me mine. Be off!’
… Patrick heard king say something more, very quietly, then guards closed the glass paneled doors to leave the three of them out on balcony. Patrick saw a guard say something then he heard, ‘You mind your business. You are to guard me and kill whoever is about to do me in. My business is none of yours. You mind, for there will be another king and his army coming our way. Sharpen your spears, the both of you. If you are too much of a lily, leave this place this instant. Your fate is before you, both of you!’
… Patrick’s ears were afire. He thought, ‘I must get back with this news.’ He has heard enough and went to get up, just as another bee buzzed his face. He flapped his hands and took off. As he went on up the hill, he had come down prior, his mind was going. Who or which King is planning to go to war? The only other king he knew was Charly the Dictator. Patrick hurried home, for his holiday was almost up and he had to let his friends know what he heard.
–
Traveler from the East.
… As Patrick got nearer to his area a day later, he tried texting Frank. No, not yet he thought, so he kept going. Then by the next morning he was close enough and left a message on all phones he had numbers for. Well, it did not take long for many to answer. He gave them a brief message and said, ‘I am still venturing home. It will be another day. Please spread the word. Find out what our dictator is doing. It may be him.’
–
As Patrick got homeward, he was coming into Bain area from the east. Now he lives in the west, so he decided to drop into Harris’s mansion. It was the weekend, and hopefully Terrance was home.
… So Patrick got into city limits and hailed a cab. He was very tired and was agitated to get a meal. Cab came few minutes later, being within city limits, and as Patrick got into cab it started to rain. He enjoyed that ride knowing, he would have been drenched and even more chilled than he was now. Of course, as with all cabs, they could only go so many miles. Each company has their boarders, so rides were under half hour. Better for pocket but means you had to hike the rest of way. Having hiked many, many miles for a good 2 days, Patrick struggled with this half mile, you bet. It’s like his sore muscles were on fire and he was ready to fall off the stilts he was balancing upon. He did manage and as he hobbled up the drive at back mansion, where the homeless came to dine, Freda opened back door and called. ‘Would you like a burger, we have soup as well, Sir?’ Patrick on his last steps said quietly, ‘Oh thank God, I need to sit down.’ Freda said, ‘Come on in Sir, … Do I know you Sir?’
… Well Patrick went bustling in that door and sat in nearest chair, which was just inside door. He collapsed into chair as Freda said, ‘Sir, would you like some dry socks?’ Patrick looked up and smiled, for by now, that was all he had energy for. He relaxed even more when he heard a clock ticking and then it uttered a small chine. He had to see what time it was for he had no idea. He sat himself upright and peered about corner of clock. He felt strength in knowing that it was early afternoon and the Grandfather Clock standing there, was a comfort of security for him. They always feel grand when near one. Like they are a boss that is always there for you. Then here comes Freda, along with Betty and a large wooly pair of socks. Marry asked, ‘Would you wish hot soup Sir?’ Patrick, coming out of his stooper agreed, ‘Oh Yes Please. That sounds fabulous. Thank you.’
… With Betty serving Patrick hot soup, Freda went on into mansion. She went to a room with a plate of cookies where there were conversations being had. She knocked the door and Terrance answered, ‘yes.’ Freda went in and said, ‘There is a nice young lad in back eating area. He was, or looks as if travelling for miles. He needs bath and warm clothes. Would it be alright for you sir. He is about your size.’ Harris smiled at Walley as he got up. Walley followed as they went to door of back eating area, and low and behold there was Patrick, ‘Oh’, said Walley, where have you been Pat?’ Patrick, surprised someone knew him here, turned and got up to see Walley. ‘Oh My, I did not expect to see you here.’ Harris and Walley then came on into eatery and took a chair. Harris said, ‘Continue eating Sir. Where did you hike to?’
… Patrick upon slurping another ladleful of soup, glanced up to see the face of Harris, straight on. Then he uttered, ‘Oh, you are Dye’s Dad, right?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Oh well, I got time off university, as I’m studying there and for last few years. I heard of a King giving troubles and went to check things out. It would be a good school project. We have to make several small stories within this year. You know.’ He took another ladleful of hot soup. Harris Smiled while Walley was concerned. Trouble afoot. Patrick had another ladleful then said, ‘But there was a rumor that he owns all lands, or he said, and that, even our Dictator is on this other Kings land? Is that possible?’ asked Patrick. Harris and Walley just looked at one another. They were not sure. Walley asked, ‘Where did you hear all this?’ Patrick answered, ‘Epic, Well Travis, my friend in university said as much. I’m not sure where he gets his info, but his parents live in his homeland far from here, and they are very high in the law firms there.’
… Harris commented, Do not worry, I will look into this at my lawyers firm. Walley also said, and Patrick, I will go into Windshire and get the gossip there. Patrick smiles as the food he was eating was making him feel better. He stated, ‘Good, this was all to be in the immediate near future.’ Harris said, ‘Not to worry, you finish your soup and have a snooze before going home, OK?’ Patrick smiles saying, ‘Thank you Sir. It was a hard blow coming home. But I will have a rest before going home, thanks.’ Harris spoke to Walley saying, ‘You and I will go into Windshire tomorrow. Maybe Charly will let us have a meeting. The horses mouth you know.’ Walley smiled saying, ‘Sure. Then we will know what is what.’ Harris said, ‘I will phone him tonight to have a chat.’ Thus they let Patrick finish his food and take a snooze before sending him homeward.

Chapter 4.

Taxes and Wars.
… It was only a few days later that the people of area realized their rent or taxes on the land was going to be twice the expense next month. Once this started happening there were far more raids too. The people who had paid for their land, still were hit with many taxes. As time went by all lands in our general area, were influenced by this. After all, business is business. If one business makes a profit, the next one will follow suit, especially if it is good for their pocketbook. Many of the Explorers and others asked their lawyers but of no avail. Lawyers get their orders from higher up which comes in via telegrams. This comes from governmental area and cannot be disputed much. The lawyers were under same taxes and they had no answers.
… Then later in our area, the people were looking about wondering who was charging all the taxes. Of course, they looked to our Dictator for the problematic source. Harris told our groups that he would look into Charley’s portfolio through his lawyer’s Firm. But Harris could not get permission. He tried.
… Now our group had money from the mines coming in. So they went ahead with water and electricity plans, but funds would not last forever. Harris put an ad in the Harris Herold about a meeting to discuss procedures of future. Many of our groups wanted to go including others. All were concerned with what was transpiring these days.
… Mean while, Harris was able to talked to The Dictator. He called Dictator Charly from work. He informed, ‘There is a group of people wanting to have a meeting. We were wondering if you would like to put in your two bits.’ Charly asked. ‘What on earth for, my only concern is these darn taxes. You tell me who is doing this and you can have your meeting in my castle! OK Sir!’ After dictator hollered at Harris through phone, Harris was stunned and there was a bit of silence. Then Harris said, ‘No Charly, I am asking if you wish to attend and if we could have this meeting in your castle. In that way this outsider, whom is the thorn in our side, will not be welcome and cannot attend. We can make plans of what to do without being spied upon.’ ‘Oh, well that does sound interesting. But how many people are coming. I have to prepare this place you know! .. Oh I do not know. .. Do you want a dinner with this prospect?’ .. ‘No No’ answered Harris. ‘Maybe coffee or tea and bits of goodies is all. We will not be there long Sir. We know you are a busy man. It must take a lot of time to entertain all the people you have there. We just need an hour or so.’ ‘Well, said Charly! ‘Well .. I guess .. I could have a room .. cleared. But no more than 50 people. Do you promise!’ ‘Oh sure, That is not a problem.’ answered Harris. ‘I will come early and give a hand if you wish.’ ‘NO no!’ answered Charly.
He has something to hide? He seemed to not wish anyone into this castle of his. What was within. Well, Harris has been there, but only in main halls.
–
From one King to another.
… As time went on, many people were moving away, for too expensive to live and upon lands not even settled yet. Much disruption of lost mortgages on home and land. Harris was losing land too and the Explorers had to move together again. They realized they were going backwards cause of the taxes taken. Out of desperation, they managed to phone and talked to Revenge, but found he was having troubles also. What and who was doing this?
… Our people went into survival mode and were considering leaving, and even the dictator of Windshire, phoned and asked questions, for he was in trouble too. Then Windshire Dictator finally spoke of the 5 diggers and how they had been jailed. Charly told of these men talking of this King of far away. Charly asked, ‘Does anyone know of this King?’ ‘No,’ answered Harris,’ I haven’t heard.’ So it was left.
… So Harris put out more news of this meeting and got a lot of calls. Patrick and Garr along with Dye, Jason and even Chuck wished to attend among others. Some wished only to see inside this Dictator’s home. It is a large building taking up nearly the whole island there. As far as all knew, it was only the Dictator Charly who resided there, with a handful of guards. Some have wondered of storming the building, when Charly would put out outlandish commands on his subjects, but there was hesitation always, for it is a huge building taking up vast land space and who knows what devilish events could go on within. Charly has been demanding at times but most could see through his demands. He seemed sort of childish, a lot of times. He has always been known as the Dictator to most and it is only recently that our group got his true name. But all were preparing for this interesting trip.
–
… The day before meeting, Harris got a call. ‘Hi, this is your Dictator.’ ‘Oh, hello Charly, What can I do for you?’
‘Well I was wondering if you could come a few hours early.’ Harris puzzled this but agreed. ‘Good’ answered Dictator, ‘We will meet in the yards. Others can come a bit later. I have to pass by you if all is OK for you and your group.’ Harris was confused. ‘Oh all will be right, we just need a place to sit.’ ‘Yes, but I command you to come early. I have business with you.’ Harris was puzzled. He asked, ‘Business?’ ‘Yes’ spoke Charly, ‘Please.’ ‘Sure I will bring a couple people. I was going to give them a ride. You know your place is out of the way to most.’ ‘Yah yah, but you be there!’ ‘Of Course, it was my arranging this meeting, so I have to be there, thanks. See you tomorrow.’ and Harris hung up. Right away he phones his lawyers. It was later in day but Harris was unsure of this secret meeting hours before the general meeting. What was up the Dictator’s sleeve. So Harris got 2 of his lawyers to attend with him as well as Patrick.
… Harris and group arrived there 2 hours prior. The cab took them to gates in Windshire city. The two guards there at gate, phoned to castle of our arrival and the gates opened slowly as the bridge came into view. It was a stout bridge almost like a fairy-tale looking bridge. Harris had seen this before but others in car had not. You had to go over slowly for it was quite a curve up and over this short bridge. The water there was not that deep and there were actually crocodiles there. Patrick whom was with them uttered, ‘Holy, I wonder what Charly feeds them.’ Well that event was nothing to relax over, but the lawns were kept well. It was a rolling plain all through grounds, but our group wondered why. Land on mainland was quite flat with hills to the north. This being a small island should have been of silt, especially since right near the Bryant river.
… A few minutes later, our people saw a group laying out tables on the lawn. The tables were being clothed with plastic, white table cloths which were blowing off in the wind. On top of that, the people who were helping, looked like average Joes off the streets. Our group was in puzzlement. The cab could only go so far, being on property of a King. So we all got out and saw the cab off, back to the city streets. Then we hear someone calling us. We turned and there was Charly coming, so we continued on towards him.
… As we went closer Harris spoke to Patrick. Please will you step in for me, just to answer the Dictator. Charly may remember me from past. Patrick looked at Harris and smiles, Sure, What do I say? Harris said, Just agree. If a question look my way. I will stay back a bit, partly hidden.
… Well, Charly smiled and welcomed them quite nicely. He stood beside Patrick who purposely stayed up front. Dictator Charly asked, ‘Does this look OK?’ Patrick asked, ‘Oh Gees, will it be outside? Your guards will be present?’ ‘Balderdash, Of course.’ stated Charly. It will be good.’ Chuck standing beside Patrick, commented, ‘Tired of being indoors hey.’ Dictator did not like that much. Harris threw hand towards Chuck to be quiet. Chuck was only breaking the ice. Well, Patrick agreed to have it outside. So Charly disappeared a bit.
… Jason near Harris said, ‘What the heck. Those plastic table cloths are the cheapest. Is he poor or eccentric?’ Harris smiled saying. ‘I am thankful we can have it here. This trip may show who Dictator really is. They have to let us in, to use toiletries. Harris included all as saying, If any of you go in, please look about.’ They winked and the du went on. But that wind was a nuisance and the plastic dishes were blown off tables often. It was not a good meeting but it was agreed, to go on this trip to the castle, far, far away. Harris and Explorers agreed, it will take some planning, so most said, at a later date. Most knew Patrick had been there already, so their concerns were minimal and they would follow his lead.
… Well a day later, there came news. The lawyers had allowed news people and photographers into Castle area and the pictures were true evidence that, this Dictator was having problems with finances. They did not know how much, but they had hard core evidence the castle was not being taken care of. Cracks in walls and fixtures broken and floor worn to nubbins in places. This was in working areas, so the workers knew what they were working for. a broken Dictator. When lawyers went for interview, Charly was asking for help, for could not keep up his properties. What to do?’
So our group knows now, that all bad and good people were in same boat. All were feeling the pinch and wishing to leave for better ground. After all they had been through, and worked for, not is not? What to do? They had to find answers.
–
… So our top people made plans, to band together and make this trip to a Castle of far, far away. Others left behind had to make do and stop the pilfering of land from the groups that were destroying their farmland. They got detectives from Sheridan to put up surveillance cameras and help monitor them. Questions were, ‘Was it revenge? Was it the Boss of Harris, the Dictator Charly, or the one living in that castle surrounded by the mote of this far away place? Any number of these persons could have their own little pilfering party.
–
… Now the Dictator of Windshire wanted to gather up an army and go after this robber of lands far, far away. Charly of Windshire was not going down peaceably. He wanted some kind of kingdom. Then, at ropes end, the dictator of Windshire was told of King Bick.
… Apparently, the group that was ransacking homes and scrimmaging about yards in the area, was caught and imprisoned by guards of Dictator. This group pilfered many jewelry stores and popular shops alike. Now we know that it was a group of 5 men, and they were put away for a long time by Dictator of Windshire. There were some killings and with their last venture, which got them caught, they invaded the Dictators Island, thus it was game over.
But then they were brought out and set free again? They were told to mind their manners and dig in lands that bore no cities.
Thus, they went on in life, as all the rest.
What?
… All peoples in these areas got more and more confused, even the Dictator Charly and his guards. Although the common person put that down to Dictator’s age, for Charly was in his 80s, and did not actively make his presence known anymore. Still, the Windshire Dictator had a right to be confused. You see, with a bit of torcher put on the 5 men that were digging up all lands, The 5 men spilled the Beans. They told the guards who they were digging for. That is the King far, far away, in Bonaccord Valley. They told of all areas this King Ronald Bick was going to take over. When this got to our dictator, he was beside himself. Well, it turned out that this King Bick in question, had made a visit and paid bail so his workers could come out of jail. But no one knew who he was, not even the Dictator Charly.
–
News Travels Fast.
… Of course, wind of this got to Walley and he started looking for answers. He did not like people accusing others of these taxes, but he was not sure. He had to find out. He put on a tough stance, for this was going to be hard. It was the going home again into who knows what circumstances. At Dads age, how could he be bailing persons out of our jails, from miles away. Walley was confused also. He bid his time for it was an emotional journey he was about to take.
… First, he phones home. ‘I am coming home Mom.’
Of course, Mother Was overjoyed. Mother wanted to know when. ‘Well Mom, I have much to do before coming. I will bring a group. Just wait.’
… Walley drew in a big breath and relaxed, then asked, ‘How is dad.’ Mother said, ‘Oh he is his usual stubborn self. Nothing new Son.’ Walley asked, ‘OK, quietly tell me mom, is dad charging high taxes?’ After a minute of silence, mom said, ‘Yes, Sorry Son. I have little sway sometimes.’ Walley said, ‘Well that is our problem here. We will be by to say our piece of mind. I will not let him destroy my life. We will be paying him a visit. You tell dad that.’ ‘Sure Josh. Be Careful Please.’ ‘OK Mom, see you in a few weeks.’
–
… After that, Walley phones Harris to talk. Harris was going to call Walley to come on trip arranged by Explorers anyway, so all was good. ‘Indeed’ uttered Harris, ‘I was going to phone you to ask if you wish to come to that castle, Patrick told of. We may enter a warring situation. Apparently, Dictator of Windshire, you know, Charly.’ ‘Yes’ answered Walley. Harris continues with, ‘He is going to gather his army and march to far, far away to tumble a rival King. Windshire figures it is this rival King trying to get even with Windshire King. So Gees, be prepared to go to war. We are the third wheel and may get tangled among the rubble.’
… Walley could hear the fright in Terrance’s voice and said, ‘It will Be OK. That king has a strong fortress, that will not be gotten into without a struggle. So long as we head there within a day or two, or sooner if possible. I am sure we could help the King of far, far away.’ There was a pause then Harris asked, ‘Strife, How do you know all this?’ Walley continued, ‘Do not tell anyone Please. Do you promise?’ Harris was confused and answered cautiously, ‘Yes I do.’ Walley continued with, ‘I personally Know this King. He is a tyrant, but I do have some sway there.’ ‘Really.’ uttered Harris. ‘Who are you to them? Was it business in past?’ ‘Not now.’ answered Walley. ‘I will tell you at a later date, please.’ So, our third wheel made arrangements for all to gather at Harris’s mansion in Bain and they would start their journey to the east from there.
–
… Dye and Dad Harris met a few days later to discussed the trip. Harris kept his promise and did not say a word to anyone. They both agreed, they need to leave while they had money left. It would sink them all. They made appointments with lawyer to sign papers. Dye asked if he could take The Explorers with him. Harris agreed and said, ‘I will take Freda, Betty and also Walley, I think he wished to come.’
… Early next morning others started coming with bundles on their backs. Freda and Betty were very busy in kitchen. They had to pack 2 meals for 9 people. Doorbell went again, and Walley came in. Harris and Dye met him with smiles. Harris asked, ‘So Walley do you know your way to this King’s place?’ Walley said ‘Oh yes, It will be good to go home again.’ With that Harris and Dye looked stunned. Walley just stood there smiling. Walley whispered, ‘Come into a room where we can be alone. Please.’
… So, the three went into one of Harris’s study rooms and closed the door after them. It was a room not gone into often but comfortable. Three cozy overstuffed chairs in soft browns and greys. There was a nice desk in corner with overhanging lamp, and an area of drinks of all kinds. As they sat down in the three chairs, Walley states, ‘I need to tell you of my past.’ They all sat but Walley was still stirring. He sat up again and said, ‘I sure could do with a drink. This is a tough conversation I have to deal with. Sorry Sir.’ Harris was puzzled but said, ‘Of course.’ He got up and asked what all wished. As making drinks Walley got up and used toiletries. Jason went to Harris and asked, ‘What is going on?’ Harris said, ‘Walley has a past. I knew he had by how he handles things sometimes. But it must not be good. Just do not say much. Let the fellow speak, OK.’ ‘Oh sure,’ uttered Jason. ‘I like Walley, he is always there to get you out of a jam.’ ‘Bottoms up’ said Harris as he passed Jason’s drink to him. He said,’ Here. Please take this to Walley’s table there.’ ‘Golden,’ replied Jason. Then Walley came into room. He saw the drink and thanked Harris. ‘I will keep this short, or hope to. Have a seat people.’ Harris had a guard standing at door and just then Guard closed door for them.

Chapter 5
–
Intro.
A Distant King.
… Now unbeknown to most people here, the owner of all such lands is a distant king. He encouraged people to come and start towns, many years ago. That was his charmer in life. How people can create out of scratch. This has intrigued him and has been his interest to see forming before him. Unbeknown to all here in this land, he does come and view his kingdom regularly. Every few months. The people working directly for him are the diggers. Not so much as for him but to help him give his kingdom’s Personnel, leads to reshape his lands. Always you have bad and good people. He just let everyone play their games. Now we will see what he wishes for these people’s future.
… King Ronald Bick has been on the sour side of life. Wife and he have talked many times of all the people in their domain. Father feels his subjects should be developing medicine to prolong life and make one feel better, so to cope with other things. Mother does as she can but sometimes it’s difficult. After all, she is just as old and having a bit more problems with life. Nothing new there. But father is restless, he wants changes. He plans to give much money to medical people to create a life prolonging medicine. He and wife talked of granting medical persons with many moneys to carry this out and quickly. Father feels, if they had the funds they could find answers sooner. But mother was a bit the other way. Give them all the money and they will dally about and not make much progress, but live life a better.
… Now, it would not hurt them to give much money, for they have lots. But father is cautious. He has decided after several days, that there will be some changes within his Kingdom. ‘Let the younger who earn much money, give to medical persons.’ Wife asked ‘How?’
King Ronald Bick said, ‘I will raise land taxes so the whole of my Kingdom can pay a little each, and medical can spend 24/7 working for an antidote for ageing.’
Wife just looked at him. She is somewhat concerned but she knows Bick is not a bad person.
… It was shortly after this when this King’s company of lawyers was told by King, to hike up real-estate sales and prices.
–
Walley’s History.
… Walley’s Dad is in a far off city. Josh knew Bain lawyers, for they changed his name in secret, to Walley. Walley is from a Kingdom far, far away.
He continued with other things that were happening in their area, like the digging of lands. It is said to be workers of owner of land far, far away. This is a myth to most, for in other’s minds, this land is either owned by Dictator, maybe some for Revenge and the rest is under Harris’s name. But of course, Dictator owns all, or so he thinks.’
… The separate bunch who transports people to desert Like Walley, is working either for Revenge or Dictator of Windshire. (That explains why Walley who works with lawyers was not protected by kidnapping. Nobody knows anything of this other group, who has been trying to find presumable treasure for a while now.
This will be why the grounds of Dye and Explorers were ruffed up and dug into at different times. It was this group taking opportunity to find riches in their soil. With all this info printed out and handed to the two via Walley, they looked differently upon this young, roughed lad. Harris knew now why Walley was always on the outside of situations. He never got too involved. They smiled and Walley said, ‘And now you know. Horn of plenty, I will tell my dad a few things, but not to worry. He is getting old, I guess.’
… Harris and Dye sat there stunned. Dye finally asked, ‘So, if we go back to your homeland, could you take over that kingdom. Walley smiled and said, ‘I would not do that. I do not wish that. The last thing I wish to do is to get pompous and stuffed up like my dad. Give me the wide-open fields, the lands far away from that. I am happy where I am.’ Harris said, ‘Even if it would help all your friends?’ Walley thought, then said, ‘If it be that important to you, why do you not take the place, I would let you.’ Harris uttered, ‘Ho No.. I could not do that!’ smiled Harris.’ I have a hard time trying to keep land that is uninhabited.’
… Now, Walley looked at Harris in a nice suit, entertaining a bunch of people who rely upon him for their land, as Walley in hoody and washed-out jeans, with a bit of a hole in one knee, said, ‘How do you think I feel. You are closer to King material than I.’ Dye butted in saying, ‘What the Heck! We will not quibble over a throne. When the time comes for another to take up that high position, we will just have to hope that someone of our group owns some of this land we are on.’ That snapped Harris out of it, and Walley turned away to have a serious thought.
… With that Dye went out of room to see if he could help others, for it was getting on, and they had to get to that far, far away. This left Harris and Walley staring at each, with some realistic thinking. Walley then broke the ice and said quietly, ‘Well if I had to, I guess…’
—
Story of Trip.
… Harris will take Freda and Betty to feed our group on trip which will take days. Harris knows now that Walley is coming along with Explorers of Patrick, Jason and Frank. Even Travis and Patrick got extra time off so arrived as they could from university. (Who is he, this Travis.) All together, there will be about 9 people travelling. They all have nap sacks on back with blankets for sleeping. They did bring food also, but Harris had Freda and Betty pack 2 large chests of food so there will not be a problem. The guards will truck them along via wooden cart. That is the best mode of travel through glen and dale. This is a cross country trip and there may be two rivers to pass as well. I hope Walley knows how to handle his dad.
… As they left, there was a bit of coolness in the air. It was autumn and the trees have started changing color in area. By the time they got to the first river the trees were a fire in oranges and reds. There were seen many squirrels gathering nuts and acorns for their winter haul. Some of our Explorers decided to do likewise. They had extra bags so gathered up a few pounds of protein, as the rest sat on rocks or stumps. Freda and Betty kept going to keep warm mostly, for that cool Autumn wind picked up sometimes, and bit the faces of our group. Harris felt responsible for the ladies and kept an eye on them. As they wandered further, they got into a dale and were sheltered from wind. They relaxed a bit more and enjoyed the late flowering wildflowers, bobbing about in the breezes. A few minutes later some were hearing water rustling. Then as the trees cleared more, they found themselves near to a river.
… Now this was an obstacle, for they had to get across this river without getting wet. With that cool wind blowing at times, you would catch your death of cold. Patrick Walley and Harris, along with some Guards, gathered and discussed ways to get across. Jason saw a lot of logs on ground. He came up to group who were talking of how to manage this feat, Jason listened a minute then had a chance to put in his two cents worth. He said, Let’s gather some of these logs. If we built a raft and push it out far enough, it should float and may reach the other shore. Dye agreed, ‘Yes’ as pointing further down River. He looked back at the people who were all looking their way, then said, ‘It is not as wide over there.’ ‘Yes’ agreed Harris. So they gathered up logs and put in rows, as guards fetched other logs from the distance. There became quite a relay system, but this endeavor would go much faster if there were two log rafts built. Two of our people had heavy rope in their knapsacks and they wrestled with that for a bit to get all the logs stuck together.
… As this was happening, Freda and Betty scouted around to get some small sticks to make a fire. They felt it was time to serve hot drinks before attempting that river. So, before they floated across to other side of river, they had a good lunch and were warmed up by the fire which later, got out of control with that wind. No problem though, for the river gave them a hand.
… While crossing that river, our group saw the land carried on being low and treed well. When they got to shore, they left barges there for knew they had to get home again. They hoped these homemade boats would still be there when returning. The greenery there did keep them warmer for they were sheltered from the wind, but later as evening fell, they had to stop for a rest.
–
… On into the next day the valley was easy trekking but later they came to some hilly mountains for a climb. Not too high but did see snow. Some took advantage and had a drink of snow, but after that is when things started getting rougher.
… As they got higher there were more rocky edges to go around or over. The cart had to go around, so many times they were left standing waiting the rest of the group. Leaders stipulated many times at the beginning of this journey, ‘that the group would survive much better than a few, for a few people may get lost and parish from hunger or cold.’ So, many of our group, wished to stay near that cart just to keep an eye on it. After all, all their provisions including clothing, were upon that cart.
… Harris was seen many times helping our two ladies over logs or ravines and springs. In places, there were swampy areas even high in these hills. Like little pockets of water trapped within the stones and dips of the land. Harris felt obligated to keep the ladies safe, for he is the one that asked these friends to come. Besides, many were nervous at this point, for it was heard many times of Wolves howling and a couple of bears growling. Our group did see a bear, but it was only a younger cub. But in most minds, it was still not someone you would wish to tango with, even if you knew the steps.
… They hurried through higher altitudes but later, spent much time with fire and making a sort of camp. Most knew that the animals did not like fire, so our people felt safer when the group had one going. Besides, they were getting very tired and relished the chance to rest on a log, even if it was full of bugs and molds. But for this time, they ended up settled for their first sleep in the wilderness. Chilly, but some did sleep with the crackling fire tended by a couple.
… By the next morning, they knew it was not much further. They wanted to be at their best before entering, what they thought, may be a war zone. They have no idea when Charly, their Dictator, was going to arrive so to go to war. Some were a bit anxious to get there as a result.
… But that thought vanished, as they made their way down these rocky hills. They heard and shortly after saw the most treacherous obstacle of their journey. A torrent river roaring through this canyon. They had to go over this, for they could see from this height, the grassy rolling hills of city limits. The guards spent an hour viewing the prospects of a way over. It was very steep and any who fell, would not be with them. Wally felt responsible for it was his dad making the troubles for our group. He kind of disappeared for a while. Harris wondered where he was off to, but had to stay with the ladies who were becoming fearful of this journey. Walley knew, that because they had gotten lost and had to take trails that were unfamiliar to him, he had to save them. He felt it was his fault. Thus he disappeared to think. He went way further than the other guards, all except one.
… When Walley got to this place with a large tree split in half, it gave him the idea of splitting others to make a bridge across. As luck would have it, this stretch of river was very thin so the span would not be long. The guard that followed Walley, stayed back to observe what was happening. Walley saw several older, dry logs about. They could easily be split. How! There were cliffs all around this area and if one could throw these logs off a cliff it may split in half. But also, Walley felt the span was still too long.
… After a minute the guard went to the river and saw way down, nearer the river. There was a cliff edge that was maybe only 6-8 ft. width. Guard turned back quickly for heard a rustling, and there was Walley staring at him. Walley asked, ‘What is happening?. Why did you follow me? You should be with the others.’ Guard answered, ‘Sir! In our training we are to guard all the people of our troop. Walley smiled, ‘Yes and thanks. What is your name?’ Guard said, ‘Randy Sir!’ Walley said, ‘Easy sir, I am not your drill sergeant.’ Guard smiled. He said, ‘Look over here’ as he pointed down into the abyss. ‘See there,’ Walley came and looked further down this edge. Instantly he knew what the guard was pointing at. ‘Oh that is good. Only thing is how in the world are we going to get these logs down there?’ Guard smiled and got his knapsack, to open it up, and there was hiker gear with rope and hooks and all. Walley lit up. ‘Oh thank you Sir Randy. This is exactly what we need.’
… So the two of them started dragging logs to that point and hooked them up to lower them to flat ground below. They were about half done when some other guards came along. well in 15 minutes they were down there placing half logs across the short abyss. 4 large logs split in half was good enough, even for that cart. By the time the cart and the rest of the people got to the top, it was all done. Now the guards and Walley had to find a route back up the mountain to find a way down. Nobody wanted to be swinging high above the torrent river. Scary stuff.
… Well, it did not take them long. there were 5 people finding a route back up. It was no picnic to go down but all gave a hand and rope was passed out to tie waists of those more nervous. There was very little problem crossing the river except for a few holes and bumps for the cart to get stuck in. and on the other side they knew exactly where to go, as seen when high upon the mountain. Shortly after that as coming into city limits, again Walley was in his stride. He enjoyed the great outdoors and felt at home away from society. It was a long trek for some but in reality, it was not that far. It would have taken them 8-10 hours by car, if there were roads there. Not.
–
… As they were coming into a more populated area, Walley said, ‘Come this way.’ And they turned northward again. Harris let it be, but Travis was unsure. After another hour they were all unsure. Dye caught up to Walley in lead and asked. ‘Why are we going north. Patrick just made this trip, and it is to south we need to go.’ ‘Not to worry.’ quipped Walley. And they carried on for another hour.
… They came to a crest of a hill, as Walley paused and looked about, waiting for the rest to catch up. Well, what our people saw was a huge mansion. Most figured it was King Bick’s castle, but a few like Patrick, knew it was not. Patrick now chased Walley to front of line. Patrick was out of breath as he exclaimed, ‘Epic! Who belongs here?’ Walley said, ‘Would you like a meal before we go to battle?’ Patrick’s eyes opened wide as he said, ‘Gees, that sounds good. For sure.’ ‘OK,’ said Walley, ‘Just follow quietly, please.’ So Walley took the group down the slopes onto the land of this castle. There were guards watching them along the hill crests and some of our group got nervous. Jason came up to Walley asking, ‘Unsettling, Do you know these people?’ Walley said as turning about to the group, ‘To put your minds at ease, this is my home. Come have a good meal then we will prepare to greet my dad.’
… So there were no more questions after that, and they walked right into castle as guards continued to guard doors. The kitchen staff came out into hall at front door and Walley greeted them saying, ‘I have many friends here. Please provide them with what they need. Thank you. Good to see all of you again. All is OK.’
… Well, what a relief. Freda and Betty were able to shower and relax with a lie down before dinner. Many of the men had a good stiff drink to calm their nerves. and some found the games room and had a few rounds of snookers. All and all, it was a great relief. Then the auto bells went off in a tune of chimes, and the double doors auto opened showing all the bounty of food along two long tables. They lined up and help themselves to all they wished. Beyond the two tables were two large dining tables where all found seats. Walley was so relaxed when coming to his mansion that it effected all the people there and they settled and had a good party.
–
… After a fun evening most slept well. But boy the muscles were stiff this next morning. Time to get more exercise. time for their next trip. Walley was one looking concerned now. He was going into a rough day. But most were eager to get going. So in like a wonderment, most started this journey of a few hours. It was easier for Walley to take them over hill than to go cab route. With cab they had to go through busy city. Walley knew, a nice jaunt through grassy lands would be much better. besides it gave Walley time to think. Dad was his next obstacle and that can be trying.
—
The Castle.
… So after all, Walley and group got there just before Dictator of Windshire. They came in the side of lawns Staying together as a tight group. Patrick said to Walley, ‘Are you sure this is the place? it looked a lot different when I came here. I do not see the balcony on third floor?’ Patrick was confused and looking around as Walley said, ‘Yes, that was the back of building you visited.’ Most had never been there and were nervous, with guards posted in many places about castle. Just the looks of them brought fear. They had long sharp pointed guns, a good fighting weapon. Some thought they may have done better with that young bear.
… As Walley approached front doors, 4 guards came together along walk. Walley called, ‘Hi George, how are you doing.’ George one of the guards answered saying, ‘Good, but whom do you bring with you and why so many? Walley smiled saying, ‘Who these guys? Oh not to worry, they are with me. These are my friends from the lands I have been in, for the last several years.’
… Walley turned to his group and put hand out towards them saying, ‘Come meet my friends here.’ So George went, leaving the other three guards near castle doors. There were many short conversations and smiles had. George came to the 2 ladies and seeing all the stains upon their skirts He stated, ‘Oh, you have been traveling far.’ ‘True,’ answered Walley, we are tired and kind of hungry also. We have come to speak with my dad. Well with that George signaled the other three guards and they went for the front doors.
… George escorted the group up the castle stairs and on into the building. And with more stairs to climb inside they finally arrived to find Dad reading paper with his pipe, and mom rushing to see who was coming up their inside stairs. There were guards at top of stairs also so there was not a problem. Well, mother saw Walley and Hollard, Josh, ‘oh we missed you.’ She was first to give him a hug as she was trying to get Bick’s attention. But Bick was older and was busy with his reading. It took Walley walking up to dad saying, ‘Are you going to sleep all day.’
… Dad finally looked up with surprise in his face. ‘Oh, what are you doing here?’ Then dad sarcastically uttered, ‘I thought you found your home elsewhere. Do you give up? Is life just too hard for you?’ Walley stated, ‘Dad, I am here to have a word with you. Why have you doubled your taxes on your land? And why is dictator Charly going to war with you?’ Walley warned dad even further. King Bick said, ‘Well Charly jailed my guards. He is not in the right.’ Walley said, ‘And you are not, in your right. You are destroying many people’s lives and making that area a desert. All people are leaving. I thought you were proud of creating. But you are just destroying. And all my friends, you are destroying them and my life.’ (Walley then had Thought of taking over kingdom of which was his total right, but he wished nothing to do with it.)
–
…There was noise outside and Bick jumped up hollering Guards! .. Guards! .. Mom came running into the room as Walley took a dive to the spare bedroom. That was the nearest window from where they were. Walley looked out and the sound of guns started firing. Walley turned back and shouted, ‘There you are, you are destroying yourself now. Good Going.’ Bick hobbled to window and saw 250 soldiers lined up in three rows. He uttered ‘Oh No. I do not wish this. ‘Well dad, you have got it.’ Bick rushed to the bed and threw covers over himself. At bedroom door Mother said, ‘Josh, what should we do?’ Just then, Walley’s friends waiting outside this bedroom, came in saying, ‘We know.’ Then Harris thrust out from his overcoat a hand full of papers, saying, ‘Sign papers now to give thrown to Josh and we will take care.’ ‘OK, OK, I wanted you to take it years ago but you ran away.’ Walley said, ‘That is the past dad, I live in the now.’ But Walley was puzzled of what they would do.
… Apparently, outside that bedroom door, a few of Walley’s friends were planning as Walley was breaking the ice. Then a guard brought in more papers and Ronald Bick signed them right there on the bed. Harris’s lawyer, as pointing into the living room asked, ‘Where is the key to that vault?’ Walley said, on corner of fireplace. One of the guards, George, rushed and grabbed the key and twirled the star-like handle, then vault could be pried open. Harris’s two guards grabbed a bundle of money from that vault and followed Walley who was being talked to by Harris’s lawyer. ‘We give them money for damaged properties and extra, only if Charly leaves other properties to whom owns them. If the Dictator is greedy, he will be banished by the king who has taken over all lands, in whole area.’
–
… As Walley and his 2 guards, along with Harris and his lawyer, were led down the stairs, they could all hear gunplay much louder. The Explorers of Patrick and 2 more of Jason and Frank, along with Dye, were in lead. They were about to go out first to face this gunplay. ‘But Patrick hollered, ‘Wait! ‘We need a white cloth.’ They paused, looking at each other and Walley was only one with white shirt on, so off it came. As Patrick hung it on tip of sword, he got off Dictator’s wall, out they went. Patrick waved this shirt vigorously, with much fright. Then they all heard one say, ‘Stop firing’. Dictator of Windshire came up with a couple guards who were met by Walley’s couple of guards. Dye and Harris, Holding Walley’s arms, one on each side of him, introduced the King of these lands. One of the opposition guards asked, ‘That is Your King, (giggle, giggle). Where is his crown?’ ‘Another one chuckled and said, ‘But better still Sir, where is thy lord’s shirt? (Giggle, giggle.)’ Dictator Charly smiling, said ‘Quiet back there!’ He leaned over to Harris and said, ‘Your king was willing to give the shirt off his back hey. (Haha.)’ Then he looked Harris in face and said, ‘Don’t I know you?’
… Harris froze knowing that if Charly had figured who he was, (Tass) Harris would be the first one in front of the firing squad. Harris Thought of why they were there, (To save all they had back home.) He managed to shrug his shoulders as saying, ‘I haven’t seen you here before?’ Dictator agreed, since it was his first time here. Then Walley put on his shirt and gave Charly the papers that Harris had typed up. On these papers were rules of these lands and of not stealing or making use of, lands of others. After Dictator had glanced through them with his guards helping, one on each side of Charly, Harris’s two Lawyers presented the money pack to Charly for any grievances and as a truce to settle all with talk. Well, this brought a smile to Charly’s face, and he bowed as his Guards took the bundle and passed it back down their line of troops.
–
… As things settled down there came a ruckus, coming from inside the Castle doors. Then doors opened and here comes King Ronald Bick with 4 of his guards. Bick came out into our group at front of Castle to meet this King that has come to conquer Bick’s castle. King Bick took one look at this mighty King and laughed. He said, ‘Conquer my castle, you probably cannot conquer your own. You are old like me.’ Dictator Charly said, ‘Well by the looks of things, this group before us has already conquered your castle.’ Bick said, ‘Yes, Well, this is my son.’ Charly said, ‘Well you are lucky, I have no son.’ Bick said, ‘Well, who will you hand your castle to?’ Charly said, ‘Well that is none of your business.’ Bick said, ‘Why don’t you come in and have coffee. We have many foods if you wish.’ Charly was pleased, ‘Sure, I am parched after that long trip. I cannot move as I used to.’ Bick smiled and agreed. ‘Yes, these young people figure we should be on top, at all times. It is hard to do. Just wait till they are, in their 80’s. Ha Ha.’ The two men came together, and Bick put arm around Charly, and they walked into castle together.
… Well, our group was stunned. The war was over, and there was no need to even be concerned. Dye spoke up and asked, ‘So, Sir Walley, what be your wish?’ Walley did not know it, but all these lands were his to rule over. Wow. Let the fun begin.
–
… They were asked to all join the two kings in merriment and the two kings told the younger generation to take over. At his age, Bick knew he could not defend a kingdom now. He could not have stopped this group from coming in and taking over, so in case a rougher group came along, he would rather give up and pass the buck. But Charly realized that he was in same place and had nobody to give his area to. So, he let it ride as well. Besides, Charly was not rich. It turned out he was on the poor side. After paying all the taxes on that large lot with castle, he was just hanging on with his toenails. This concerned him much, so when handed that money, he in his mind had surrendered his post right then, even before King Bick had appeared. Our younger groups will have to figure what to do with all the land. And we know, they will let the lawyers deal with it also. With the law on their side all would be righted.
–
… Now in this crowd, Jason and Frank found Travis and Patrick. They band together and thought of what happened, making a few comments as well. Then Travis spoke to Patrick saying, ‘This is not the end.’ Patrick did not understand and the other two turned away to the party and all ate well. They all caught a good rest before hiking that long way back. But when Bick found out how they got there to begin with, he offered them money to take carriage home. All were grateful to him. It would be much easier for our group to get home.
… After the gathering and on way home Patrick remembered Travis saying something about, this was not the end of their endeavor. On one of stops to take rest Patrick found Travis alone and again talked to him. ‘What were you saying last night, about our mission not being over?’ Travis uttered,’ We will see. Be prepared to travel in a while. This trip will be on roads so an enjoyable trip. But the air must be cleared in the right way. Wait for my word, and I will get you to gather the right people for this short trip.’ ‘Cool’ said Patrick, ‘if I am not in studies. I cannot shirk my schooling.’ ‘Yes, Yes, I understand. I will text you later in a few weeks, thanks. I must go home now after this trip.’ ‘Epic’ said Patrick, ‘can we drop you off someplace?’ ‘No No, that is fine. Thanks for your understanding.’
–
… Travis was relieved in being able to talk to Patrick and get a point across. Travis knew what he knew a long while ago. He has been collecting info from Patrick and relaying it back to people of his area west of the University. The past of this area was a wild rich one but few know this. For most people of that time, were killed via the wars. When Travis got to Harris’s home as all the rest, he excused himself and went home. It was a long trip, but he got a cab most of way. Where he lived was well settled, but before leaving he was able to speak to Harris saying, we will meet again shortly. Harris asked ‘Oh, alright you have a safe trip home.’ Harris appreciated Travis for he was a genuine fellow. Well-groomed with manners and stance. The rest of our group settled at Harris’s for the night and went on as they will.
… Well, all had renewed ambition. Being almost winter there was nothing to do out in the land, but lots to do with planning the properties they thought they had. Harris was in touch with Sheridan several times about the mines in the semi desert between their properties. Dye and Deb sent out work forms advertising jobs for spring, not only upon building but also upon planting up as many fields as possible. This next year they wished to be self-sufficient. They had electricity from Sheridan now so felt free to make use of it.
… Charly the Dictator was not heard from now. They are not sure what transpired there. But they made assumptions, that his land may come into play soon. Walley had phoned home several times and his father Bick was taken with wife to a retirement home. It was much warmer, and dad did not have the worry of other Kings attacking his fortress. Apparently, he had nightmares after that reunion. It was too much for him and he did retire and is happy he did.
… Walley is still known as Walley in these hills, but there, Walley was King of all mansions. He had a vast plain to upkeep and check on. To think that he also owned these hills was a little overwhelming. But he was happy to stay here for now, cause here did not demand of him, Yet. When and if it does, he may choose which way to go. He knows he cannot do this all. It is far too much for this retiring, freedom seeking fellow with two names. Give him some wilderness and he is happy.

Chapter 6
–
On to Travis’s Home.
… Travis went home taking many pictures and evidence of what was happening in the valleys of area. His parents were very high in legal firms but often they were too busy with others’ problems. Travis was very independent and only child. He is very learned and of age to be his own boss. But parents ask of him to keep an eye on properties, for they have too much to care for. When Travis got home to parents this time as many times, Travis was told to go to his uncle’s.
… Travis often spends time at his uncle’s properties. In fact, most all the properties about were to be his uncle’s, the heir of King Lawford’s Estates. Travis’s Dad Did not wish the role so Travis’s Uncle Taylor Lawford was in line. Travis got along with Taylor well, for they were not that much difference in age. But Travis was happy to help the family with caring or overviewing family lands. He visits often through the year, so Taylor’s home is Travis’s second, or maybe third home.
… You may ask, ‘Why are there two Kings owning a third Kings land? This is because it is just that big. These other Kings are not true Kings. They take that title when watching directly over much land of Lawford’s Estates. If they are helped by being called Kings, that is great. And they are allowed to dictate as they wish. But as with all landlords, People get in that may not be to landlord’s liking. It is all in the game.
… Travis Lawford could become a King as well if wish. But family feels they need to be ready. He is polishing up good, but it is still up to him to decide in his time. There are always people wanting to rule and credentials do count. So needless to say, Travis’s parents wished to work with law and with family doings alone, there is a lot to keep up with. They like to keep it all in the family, as it were.
… But this visit from Travis is a bit different. King Johan Lawford is actually the one Travis needs to go to. This is Taylor’s dad. Here, it is whoever is first born of generation in line. Travis’s Dad Josef was first born but declined, so next in line is Johan Lawford, Taylor’s dad. This is the one that wishes the pictures and info. Especially now since there is so much unrest in our area. But like I say, Travis can still become a King and with so much land, if he wished and could keep a prospering Kingdom, he could rule there for his life. So, people like Walley are not true Kings, but we need not tell him that yet. Although he is not King material, really, he would still keep a good kingdom if tried.
… I feel this is why Travis has a different trip to take. He did go to Taylor’s mansion, but Taylor told him it is best to come at a time when there are no taxes. Being tax time throughout this vast land, the King has much to do. So, Taylor took the pictures and typing’s of info to the main study in his mansion. The two will make a trip to Taylor’s father’s land soon. Travis talked of many coming and Taylor gave a list of the people his dad wishes to meet. This will be an important meeting for all the land. A changing of the guards as it were. With two kings abandoning their post, all must be made a right.
–
… It was several weeks later when Travis got a message from Uncle Taylor. ‘Meet me here with the people on that list I gave you. Please try to get most to come.’ ‘Sure,’ was reply. Travis relayed message to Dye and others as he could. dye was confused. is this another King. If so where is the land this one owns. I think there are too many kings here already. why do you need so many kings? Travis tried answering but Travis was unsure as well. He was on the outside of all this stuff.
So, Dye tried his best to send messages and chat over phone to get these people to come on a trip. But Dye found many did not wish to go. Like Chuck, who, because of his past with his parents shot, there was no way. Later Dye phoned Travis and said, ‘only 3 people want to come. What should I do.’ Travis answered, ‘I will try talk to Taylor and ask who he really wishes to come. I will let you know.’
–
… When time came Travis contacted Patrick and asked to have all to meet him at the university. Harris, Dye, Walley, Revenge, Solo, and several lawyers came. Even one of the diggers came. But the three of Revenge, Solo and Digger Reine stayed by themselves and only came to object more than anything. So Walley, Harris, Dye and Patrick stayed together for some did not know whether to trust the others.
… Travis met this group in parking lot of university, and they all went to a large restaurant for a good meal before heading out. It was a bar but had good food. Along the way Travis also told them to get snacks for the trip,’ We will not be stopping often.’ Some already had thus but others had to stop into local shops before heading out from restaurant area. An hour later, off they went in two vehicles. One with Patrick and group, followed by Revenge and group. These were Country Taxis, so could travel the miles.
… Along the way there were some discussions, but most were anticipating what the outcome would be and what it was all about. As they went on, Dye’s dad said ‘Gees, there is a sign for Gilmore way.’ Dye knew what that was instantly. He queried, ‘Oh I wonder how mother is?’ He leaned over to Travis and asked quietly, ‘Is there any way on this trip, we could go visit people?’ Travis said, ‘Not on the way, we have an appointment with the King there. We are a bit late as it is.’ ‘Oh heck, that is alright, just wondering.’
… Patrick looked at Dye and knew what was happening. Harris said, ‘Later Dye. Later is better. I am not ready.’ Dye looked father’s way and smiled saying, ‘Good.’ But Dye was pleased just the same. It shows him dad is thinking of mending fences. They went right near old home.
… Well, they had more pressing things in the air. Maybe they will not have homes, to go to after this appointment. They were all not sure. Not even Uncle Taylor, who Travis did try to dig info out of. But apparently King Lawford has his rules and regardless of what they were, this trip had to come about.
–
… Well with a few stops along their trip, they were coming to more mountainous land. Then after going through this valley with many homesteads, they crested a cliff like peak, to view a large valley and a castle on opposite hills. Very beautiful sight, nothing like what most of our people had seen. These people were used to small villages or what we would call townships. This land that they have just come upon was very vast and there were residences spotted everywhere. There was a stadium for sports and a large park with rides for all ages. Our people knew of these, but most only saw the traveling circus and rides. What a sight. Harris noted then commented at the size of that castle on adjacent hills. ‘That castle there is a distance away, yet look, seems to be comparable to the castles you took pictures of recently, Travis. That one is small compared to this fantasy.’ Some were eager to get there just to see inside.
… There were other large buildings also and one pointed out the law buildings in central town area. Dye asked, ‘Is that where we are going now?’ ‘No,’ said Travis, ‘we are going to my uncle’s mansion. He will take us to his dad’s castle, the one on that hill there.’ Harris asked, ‘So we are almost there?’ Travis answered, ‘Well, another half hour still.’ Dye asked, ‘So where is your Uncle’s Mansion?’ ‘Oh, it is that way on other side of that hill there. We will go there and rest for a bit then have dinner, then go onward. You will have to sleep the night here in the city. King Lawford may allow us to sleep there in castle. But Uncle Taylor will deal with his dad. We will wait for answers.’
… So, they went on over another hill and that valley looked much the same. ‘Wow’ said Patrick, ‘you sure live in a large city. How many live here do you know?’ Travis stated, ‘Oh something like 30 thousand.’ ‘Hush-up,’ Dye turned to Harris and said, ‘And we thought Windshire was large. Its only got 10 thousand something.’ Harris quipped, ‘Indeed. Well, if King will not let us sleep in castle, I am sure we will find another place in this city.’
–
Taylor’s Mansion.
… When the cars came to the area of Taylor’s, there were many forested areas. He lives in the greater natural areas of this large sprawling community. As they got out of car, they looked over the cliffs at front to see the sunrise over water. They did not stay there long, for wind was cool being autumn here.
… Travis led the way up from the circular driveway which led to a wide case of stairs with pillars of 4. Before they got to the top, Taylor had come out wooden doors with ornate colored glass inlays. As Taylor when to speak, his security system started talking. He said, ‘Oh sorry, hang on.’ And he went inside door and fiddled with alarm system there. Harris commented, ‘Well the place is secured if we wish to stay here.’ Travis stated, ‘Yes that is what we talked of but I did not get a confirmed answer.’ Just then, Taylor emerged from behind door and asked, ‘What was that. About staying the night? Sure I do not mind. There are 10 bedrooms in this place. Anybody wish to rent one. Ha Ha.’
… Taylor was kind of glad to see all these people. He shook Travis’s hand and practically pulled him into home. We all followed. What a place. Big chandelier in dining area and the front sitting room was of velvet mostly. Different shades of blue. Taylor turned to the rest of us and said, get comfy people. We will eat a good meal and get some sleep. Then it will be off bright and early tomorrow.
… Suddenly Taylor said, ‘Oh Yes, I have two helpers here. Please ask Shelly or Tony for help.’ The two helpers were standing in hallway quietly smiling. We first got rid of our winter jackets and wet shoes. All were given a gowned and slippers. The sizes were not perfect, but they were warm slippers which was nice. The fireplace was going in this front room and many of us just sat for a minute to get our bearings.
… Shortly after that, here comes two collies, wagging their tails. They were the smaller kind so not a problem with jumping. They looked at your face and acknowledged all, then went their ways through this large home. Suddenly, a large Grandfather Clock chimed in the corner. That was nice. As things settled down and hot drinks were served, people started chatting various subjects. Some were wondering what to wear to a King’s castle. Others were saying ‘Well this is what I got, so that is it. If he called us to talk to us, I am sure he will not kick us out for the wrong clothes upon our backs. Ha-ha.’
… Others were marveling at the wood carvings of statue and wood paneling in the areas they could see. Boy, this place would take a lot of care to look good as this. Then a cat came slinking in the double doors of this sitting room. It was a Burmese with its white feet and black stockings. Such a pretty creature. I watched it as it slowly made its way to near clock, then it disappeared. Later another one found her curled up and sleeping behind the Grandfather Clock. It had a cozy bedding there.
… By this time there were finger foods being trailed through this large sitting room. There were napkins handed out and they were the large ones, but it behooved some here as to how the caretakers of this castle, could keep this room immaculate if they fed the visitors within this room. ‘Velvet is difficult to deal with in the spill area. Maybe velvet was slip-ons.’ The one who said this went over and is tipping the chair, trying to find the zipper. Ha Ha.
… Then with this happening, Taylor came to the doors. He called, ‘OK people, we will be eating in half an hour.’ Taylor turned to a couple people near, for they were asking him something. Taylor turned again and said to the group, ‘I have just been asked what one should wear to my father’s castle. So long as there are no holes or wrinkles, he will accept all. We are not there for a fashion show. Remember people, he is an older man and has seen much in his life. Relax, He is not a dictator, as I know you have been overshadowed with thus. All is good here and thanks for coming. Father left it upon my shoulders to get you people to him. So, you have done me a favor to come. Thanks again. Enjoy dinner, which is coming shortly within the dining area. It is just to your right up the hall here,’ as he pointed the direction.
–
Early in morn they were up getting ready. Scrambling was common. So, when they did get into the two cars, they settled back and snoozed before getting there.
–
Lawford’s Castle.
… Ahead in King Johan Lawford’s Castle, things were a stew. It turns out that Taylor’s Dad was quite anxious for these fellows to come. He was in a bit of a situation. The two dictator Kings of Bick and Charly, of course have runners up, but King Johan does not wish those to transcend to the throne. Legally they would have to ask, for they are a franchise, but King Lawford wanted to appoint others. From what his son has said in past, there were prospects in the people that were coming. This is why he asked Taylor to have them come. Now he awaits word from his son.
… You see, if too many dictatorial rulers took charge, Lawford may have a major War on his hand, especially if they joined forces. He feels that a country should be a home, with a few rules, yes, but not too many. But one called Revenge, may be of a problem also, but this king has plans. We will see what happens. When he sees a prospect, he does not let go easily.
… Johan was asking wife Marge, ‘Please sit with me when I meet with the gentlemen coming, Dear. I wish you to put in your thoughts also. There are several coming and I need to pick the right people for the jobs. I goofed last time as is evident this past year. Please prepare yourself. Here are some papers I had printed up. These will tell a bit of the people coming this next week. Taylor will be bringing them by in a couple of days.’
… Marge smiles saying, ‘Do not concern yourself too much. These people we choose to be King material, they only take an allotment of land to rule for a short time. You know after 6 months you can ask them to leave.’ ‘Yes, of course dear, but often 6 months is not enough. I have difficulty reading people.’ Marge answered, ‘Yes, but you had much warning with the King of Windshire. But you let him stay there? Why, I do not know.’ ‘Well that is enough from you, you know His father and I go away back. We had made a deal which I had to honor for 10 years; besides he was not too bad when he first came. It was only last 4 years, he became unbearable.’ Wife looked at him. Then she queried, ‘It took you 4 years to make your decision?’ Yes, well you know there were several bad people that catered to him. I did not wish a group upon my back. We may have had a war Dear.’ ‘Yes,’ spoke Marge, ‘I agree there.’
… King Johan then said, ‘When that Revenge guy comes, I will give him a good job, but it will be one that does not involve leaders or running of cities. He needs to go to finishing school or something along those lines. Learn some manners and the likes.’ ‘Ha Ha’ Marge laughed. Johan warned, ‘Yes, and you mind him. I do not trust him or that Solo guy, who is coming also.’ Marge thought then stated, ‘Well Dear, maybe you could let your guards train him, to be a watchman for your prison in Watimat.’ ‘Yes, that is a thought. But dear, there is another name of Harris. I have to find out more. A fellow I was talking to said Harris has much land there.’
… Marge asked, ‘Why don’t you take some guards and go there to mingle. You would find out a lot, or you could take spies there.’ Johan Lawford explained, ‘Well, If I took spies and the people figured that out, I would not get anyone there to care for the land, all would be on guard. It is true though, the only thing I know is what I read in our paper, and often that is colored. Maybe I should have done that before. But dear our son will be here later tomorrow or early next day.’ So wife agreed, ‘The best things to do is watch them. We have a big dinner and allow them to mingle and chat. You will find out more if just ask questions in a pleasant situation.’
So, King Lawford got staff to prepare for a large party with all the fix-ins. They got good wine and lots of Punch too. They got best of pork and beef, with turkey abundant. Being fall there was no end of harvest in area.
… Just before company arrived King gave guards instructions of watching specific people, for they are not trustworthy. Lawford had many security cameras so it would be an easy task for his many guards. King also said, give the food right away. If they are stuffing their faces they will feel at home. Sit them in the larger waiting room and serve much food there. Let a few small tables there in corners also. Then they can sit to eat. But still leave the many chairs there. King had gotten a call from son Taylor saying ‘that he knew three were there mainly to object to situation. So later, Johan told his guards to be present where these three were. ‘If any arguing, please escort them to a separate room and let me know. I will talk to those three first, maybe even before dinner. Then, if they wish to leave, they may. Thank you Peters. You are a good help to me.’ This seemed to be Kings main guard.
–
… As our people got to Lawford’s area there were many larger homes and castle type places. They were obviously in a richer part of town. By this time, they were all snoozed and ready to take on society. They entered the grounds one, two and three cars, The sun was up, and this place looked like government buildings of ancient times. Tog-Mohall came into some minds. It was a vast yard with mansion. Typical castle roof with many points. There were your usual guards at doors and a person there to park the cars. So, all got out and stood for a while, watching this one in white suit taking cars one at a time, into this double garage door. But it was much bigger than that. There were 5 windows in a row, high enough that you had to stand on tippy toes to look in. Travis was kind of tickled for this was norm for him. He visited here many times. After all, this was Uncle Johan’s place. But Travis was calm. He knew this would be very different for most of this group. He stood behind these men as they were talking of how much gas they would use in a week here. And how many cooks and waiters were within. They compared within their minds of, since Taylor’s mansion had 10 bedrooms how many would there be here. But actually, not even Travis knew that. This is his uncles place, but he has never asked for a tour.
… After a few more minutes of this, Travis asked, ‘Shall we go in.’ ‘Oh yes,’ spoke Harris. But just them Taylor was seen coming up the drive. Travis called to them, and Taylor explained, ‘Sorry people, Solo and the others saw the sports courts down the hill a way and asked if they could have a look. So, I took them on a tour of the yards.’
… Then Taylor announced, ‘Come on in please.’ And the whole group went slowly toward castle doors. As walking along Taylor was saying, ‘We should mind our manners people. This is high class here. Nothing bad will happen to you but you are here almost as a job interview.’ Travis asked, ‘Really.’ Taylor said, ‘Yes, my dad told me he wanted to see the people here, so you are to all have a meeting with King Lawford. Just to warn you all.’ Well, there was some fussing of hair and rubbing of faces and a few buttons done up, before they got to those double doors of castle. One even had a small brush in his pocket to brush his shiny shoes.
… As they got into the Castle Taylor excused himself and went through some double doors near entrance. Nobody wished to follow for it looked business like. It was a study room and Taylor was going to text King Johan and tell him Solo Revenge and Reina were not in bad moods. They had enjoyed a tour of the sports area before coming to castle proper. Dad acknowledged and was pleased with that. He said, ‘I will still meet with each of them within 15 minutes. I am getting ready with papers. Thanks Son.
… So as the group were welcomed in, they saw the ceilings were all designed differently and there were many mirrors on walls. Helpers took coats and shoes from our group and again they were given thick socks to keep warm. Others set our people up with drinks and finger foods, then said, ‘A small lunch would be coming in half hour. Go take a seat and if cold, go sit by fire.’ Well, it did not take long for conversations to start. Solo and Revenge were right in there also. Some of our people wondered about this, but maybe Dictators land back home was not the place for them. Maybe it was the Dictators tyrant nature putting fear in them. Who knows but Solo and Revenge seemed very civil now and talkative to boot.
–
… They were served many types of foods and for the second round they took more of what they really liked. When most had eaten all they could, there was a suited one who came into room and asked, ‘Please when done, go to the room across the hall over there.’ Some went right away and found games and reading material of various types. There were even more finger foods there. One commented, I think they wish us fatter. Ha Ha. Others saw a guard come to dining doors and Solo along with Revenge were led down hall. They were followed by Harris Travis and Taylor. Some of our group wondered of this, but then, went to see what was across the hall. They heard laughter and pool being played, so had to investigate. ‘Ho boy! Can I play?’ We will now follow Harris and leave these party goers to their games.

Chapter 7
–
Court Room?
… As we follow and enter this room it was rather large. It was like a court room with seats of comfort and at front a larger desk where Taylor’s Dad was residing along with a footman and a secretary. At front also was Taylor’s mom Marge, and there was Revenge and Solo the first ones on trial but they were farther off to one side waiting. As we enter a Judge came also to the front desk and sat in center. The Judge and King Lawford were discussing things and searching papers there. Then Judge asked, ‘Revenge would you come up to front please.’ Revenge came strongly up but in a good mood. Judge stated, ‘I see comments of you being in a rather good mood since coming into this area. Could you give and explanation of that Sir.’ Revenge was surprised they wanted to hear from him. He half thought he was in trouble, because he knows he has done wrong but sometimes not of his will.
… He perked up and replied, ‘Yes Sir, I wanted to get out of that place. I enjoyed the job but at times it was very unfair. It was mayhem! There were too many cooks there, and the orders were very conflicting a times. I did my best but am glad to be here.’ Judge continued, ‘Well good for you. Would you like to stay in this area for a while.’ ‘A while Sir, Am I serving a term here? What have I done wrong?’ ‘No Sir,’ commented Lawford, ‘He is speaking of working here in this area. I would be your high boss.’ Revenge smiled. Lawford said, ‘OK, stick about in the area and I will have a guard escort you to your new job.’ ‘OK,’ uttered Revenge, ‘is it a higher job?’ Judge stated, ‘You will learn of your job in jail management. As you pass this schooling, you will be in charge of a wing within the correctional institute of area.’ Well Revenge was in smiles and said with exuberance, ‘Thank you Sir. I will be glad to help you.’
… Just then, Solo stood up and asked, ‘Could I get into same place as he?’ Judge stated, ‘Pardon, I was talking to this fellow here. You are next.’ Revenge again thanked them both as the footman came and led Revenge out to the party again.
–
… As Revenge left room with footman, Lawford and Judge were talking together and going through papers again. But before that was done the footman escorted another one to sit at the side of courtroom. It was Reina, one of the diggers that dug up all areas in Harris’s land and beyond. Well Judge did call up Solo, but Solo was very different fellow than Revenge. Solo got a rather nice job of being a tour guide through the castle properties. There was much history here, and he enjoys leading the people places. He was a more positive fellow and he accepted that job openly. He will have to wear a suit much like the guards, but he was well pleased with that also.
… While Reina was on the stand, footman brought in Travis, and he sat on side. Harris was surprised with this but all carried on. Reina was to go back to her group and tell them, ‘King Bick, their original boss has left his post. But if any wish a job in this area, there are many mines to be worked in.’ Judge had written up a letter, and Reina was to take it back and read it to the group. It more or less said, digging on private property is a misdemeanor, but to take something from said property, this is a felony. If you wish to dig in the mines, you may be able to take some rocks from said mine. You will get a wage and bonuses along with free meals. Reina was pleased and agreed to take the letter back, but they did not hear from any of them. So be it.

… Well, Lawford was waiting the small group of people, who he was going to give lands to. He has gotten legal conformation of a lot, that he was given by Travis, and Lawford wants to give some land to Taylor, now that he is 23. But Lawford is also looking at Travis, for he knows Travis does wish to try his hand at keeping a parcel of land. In King Johan’s mind, the two of them could work together, then later each take a bigger piece. Lawford asked footman to bring them next.
… Judge called the two up together. Knowing the procedure in courts, Travis asked, ‘The both of us?’ Johan stated, ‘Yes, I have a parcel of land that will take two of you to deal with.’ ‘Oh,’ uttered Taylor, for he thought he would get his own land and build a nice small town to one day be a large city. He looked at Travis like, well we are in this together I guess? and he thanked his Pa sort of. Pa Johan replied, ‘Yes son, later if you wish more, you can have as much as you wish. But whatever you have, you must look after it properly, or you may lose it to others. It is easier at start to take a small area, Is that OK to you?’ Taylor agreed, ‘Yes thanks Pa.’ Travis said quietly to Taylor ‘Yes, we can do this.’ Judge threw the hammer and stated, ‘Sir Travis and Sir Taylor will be given the parcel of land including the city of Windshire, previously cared for by Dictator Charly Whinbee.’
… Well, our two looked at each other and stared. Now they were both unsure if they could handle a fully grown city. King Lawford then said, ‘If you need help, Harris here, will be very willing to give a hand. He will be next door to you. He is lead hand at main lawyer’s firm, there in Bain.’ Harris added, ‘I will give you the address of my home there, you might as well live there.’ Travis then asked, ‘What about all the others there, who wished that regime?’ Lawford said, ‘Not to worry, we will replace them all with seasoned officials, to help you on your way.’ ‘Oh good!’ agreed Taylor. Judge explained, ‘Oh yes, the original workers will be provided with work. We do not dislodge people permanently. They will be given options, always.’
–
… As they were finishing up with Travis and Taylor, the footman brought in Walley. Harris was concerned for Walley was of big help to all through the last few years. He hoped that Lawford was going to give him something. After all, he was Harris’s main spy. But Terrence was going to keep Wally as spy, if he had the time. Before Walley was up at side court, footman brought in Dye Tass. When the footman announced the name Dye Tass, Harris up front at bench was jarred. He realized he had been hiding all these years, not only from the Dictator Charly but also from his original life back home. This jarred him to the bone. He sat there quietly, losing consciousness of court proceedings, lost in thoughts of past. Walley was called up and Judge talked of all the help he was to Harris, and many others in that area. He told of Walley keeping the law firm going at times when there was trouble with the Dictator. And of how he helped the locals with Revenge and that community, Judge stated, ‘To my knowledge I feel the best place for you to work would be in Dragonfly Cove.’
… Well, Walley was stunned, he asked, ‘I work there now as part of my route Sir.’ Judge explained, ‘No, you will own that land I speak of. There is a small village being built near that park, which is now part of that area. And I have heard of an Airport going in near. You think you can manage that area.’ ‘Well, I guess so.’ Walley was confused. His job was just getting bigger and wider as time went by. Judge clarified more. I thought that you should still be near Harris for the two always worked well together. Harris is like a father to you right?’ Walley smiled because he did say that a few times, to the Explorers.
… Harris started coming out of his thought pattern, realizing what was going on. He spoke up interrupting conversation, saying, ‘Well my son Dye was looking after that land.’ Dye in seating area said something to that. Judge leaned over and said quietly to Harris, ‘Be calm, I will put Dye closer to his mother. Dye did not hear this and was stretched upward as seated, trying to get dads attention. Harris replied quietly, ‘Sounds good?’ And this settled Terrance right away. But then Judge threw the hammer and states, ‘Walley Bick will care for lands of Dragonfly Cove.’ Dye was flattened by that. He had high hopes for his Dragonfly Cove. His childhood memories just went down the drain.
–
… Then footman escorted Dye Tass to the side of court. Now with this, Judge was a family man, and he knew that Dye was probably a bit down at this point. So, he went carefully. He called Dye up to front. He asked, ‘Have you seen your mother lately?’ Dye was Shocked, he made a face and uttered, ‘Well, no!’ Judge asked, With Harris hanging on every word, ‘Would you like to see your mother more often?’ Dye perked up and was realizing something was afoot here. He answered, ‘Well Yes, so would dad, I mean Harris Sir.’ Judge smiled at both of them. Then he stipulated, ‘Well, with you so much closer to your mother’s home, I thought, that may be good for you, Sir.’ Dye smiled very much, and he had tears in his eyes. He had not realized how much he was missing home. Here was OK, but it was business and hard work. He rarely got a chance, recently, to just sit quietly. He is always working. After a minute, Dynamos straightened up and said, ‘Oh, Thank you. That is great,’ and as he pointed directly to Harris, he said loudly, ‘And you are coming.’ Judge smiled and stood as throwing that hammer saying, ‘Dynamos Tass will run King Bick’s castle and land.’
… As all settled down and Son with father came together to return to party, Judge and Lawford came to them in back of court. Lawford said, ‘Terrance Tass, I also thought that you should continue with your endeavors in Bain and all lands about. Take care of that territory, please. Then Judge uttered, ‘Oh, I forgot my hammer. Judge smiled and said, ‘You know what I would say.’ ‘Yes,’ spoke Harris, ‘It is written out right there, pointing to the papers King Lawford had in his hands. Thanks.’ Judge quipped, ‘Well, I thought you may wish to hear it as well. Ha Ha. Have a good day gentleman, I must go now to my next endeavor.’ Judge turned to King Lawford and expounded, ‘Thanks for the opportunity to straighten things out. It also helps my work, as I’m in same area. Don’t be a stranger. Bye, talk later.’
–
… Well, the judge is gone so on with the party. As they all made their way back to the party, Dye confided, ‘Boy I was scared when in that court. When I was to have Bick’s castle I thought, how am I going to care for that. I have no idea how to run a castle.’ Dad stated, ‘Yes son, you let your subjects handle most. You tell them what to do.’ Lawford walked on ahead seeing Father and Son talking together.
… As the two watched King walking on ahead, Harris too confided, ‘I was also very afraid at times. I am sorry son. ‘Oh,’ uttered Dye in surprise. ‘Yes,’ spoke Harris. ‘I was hiding from Charly for so many years, but it was also from homeland. I have been living under a lot of fear and not knowing it. Please let me know when you are to see mom. I do wish to come. She will be floored. Please talk to her often before we go. This will help her to not faint when we do go.’ Dye smiled and answered, ‘Yes, I know what you mean. I will phone her tonight.’ Sure Son, mention my name and tell her that I may come as well. Find out what she thinks of that. Maybe she does not remember me now.’ Dye stated, ‘Do not be silly dad. Of course, she remembers you. ha ha. I will phone her when I can. Remember. we have to get back.’ They continued to walk toward party.
… As they were making their way back to party, Dye stopped short. He asked, ‘Now, do I go to Bick’s castle when I go home tonight?’ Dad Tass exclaimed, ‘No Son. We will pack some of your stuff and you have to get Deb prepared as well.’ ‘Yes, or is she to come?’ Harris was shocked, ‘Well sure! She is your wife, is she not?’ ‘Oh Good, So, we be like king and queen?’ ‘No Dye, you be who you wish to be. From what I have heard, you do not need to be King. But they expect you to make up your mind, for you will sign, many-a-papers while in charge. So, you will have to sign the same name in the time you are there.’ ‘Oh,’ uttered Dye. He put his head down and rubbed his scalp. Then he replied, ‘I am so confused in mind. I have a headache. Come on. No more talk. Let’s eat more and drink some of that punch.’ ‘Sure son, are we allowed to stay here the night?’ Neither of them knew so they hurried to the others and asked questions.
… Well, as Harris and Dye milled among the people at party, they met up with Patrick. He had news and was delighted. He went up to Harris and said, ‘OK boss, what would you wish me to do?’ Terrance just looked at Patrick and Dye said, ‘What are you on about Pat?’ Patrick full of smiles, pulled from his vest pocket a large blue envelope. He handed it to Harris as Harris allowed it to fall into his hands. He could see that envelope was already opened, so Harris took paper out thinking it was a letter for him. Well it was embossed with large stamp and was said to be from Judge Bruise and Johan Lawford. Harris read it with excitement as it stated, that Patrick was to be of much help to Mr. Terrance Tass, as was possible. Patrick said to Harris, ‘And Lawford told me that I would be in line for a lot of my own depending on how helpful I or any of the Explorers were to the efforts of our area. I know Sir that 2 Explorers went with Walley to his area. Walley was very happy of that. He feels swamped. You know Sir he does not like the limelight.’ ‘Yes’ agreed Harris, ‘is he still here?’ Patrick stated, ‘No Sorry Sir. I believe he went to Bick’s castle. He is a Bick Sir.’ Terrence confirmed, ‘So I have heard, thanks. I will phone him later and have a chat.’
–
Ending.
… Back at the party, Harris and Dye realized they had been in court for almost 2 hours, but there had been more food brought to tables. By this time, some were eating well, but Dye and Harris just wanted to drink. They had to sit and think of all that happened. There were three quiet rooms, and more than half were sitting there. Most were not talking but relaxing, thinking of all the things that they have to consider in the near future, like tomorrow. Harris knowing their concerns, went to find King Lawford. He found him in another area of castle, with people clambering about him. The people were all asking questions much the same. Harris saw the confusion and got Lawford’s attention. He beckoned Lawford to come, and they went into another room and shut the door. ‘Sir’ uttered Harris. ‘I am good with typewriter. I want you to dictate me a letter for all the confusion out there. Every person leaving here, needs to get this letter. Agreed?’ asked Harris. Johan replied, ‘Yes, whole heartedly. Thank you. I am not one to be secretarial advisor, please help me.’ ‘Sure,’ agreed Harris. Harris added, ‘And Sir, I do thank you for including the Explorers among the official people to help in these areas. They have been of big help and we would not have held it together without them. In fact it was the Explorers whom first started the wheel rolling.’ Johan Just smiled.
… Lawford then explained, ‘We have been keeping tabs on your area through Travis my nephew. After all, that is one of my areas to watch over. With such a vast area as thus, I have to rely on many to make things run smoothly.’ ‘Yes I can imagine.’ replied Harris. Lawford went to the drink cabinet and got out two glasses to pour wine. He continued, ‘And with all those people willing to help their friends, we will keep this area running smoothly.’ They drank to that toast, then Lawford smiled at Harris as a friend working together for a common cause. He replied, ‘Yes, I will gladly do as I can to upkeep my station, and thanks for the vote of confidence.’ They drank another toast to that with some silent thoughts, then Lawford stated, ‘Well, our first task is to save our troops from drowning in confusion and despair. Let us make that letter, Shall we?’ They smiled and shook hands.
–
The Letter.
… So the two made a letter, to the effect that you do not have to
take up your post within a month. Each of these posts have others working them.
They will hold things together till you are ready to enter.
When you are ready to enter, please let the station you are approaching,
know, that you are approaching. They will welcome you and show you about.
They know you are new and will act accordingly, I am sure.
If you wish to replace some, or all of them, let us know and we will send more.
That also is a slow transition.
We will find work for the ones leaving and let you know so you can send them to us.
–
… It was early the next morning, when most left, taking a letter from the Guard Peters at front door. Many had ends to tie up as of moving their things elsewhere. Harris called Walley first thing. Walley had stayed in his fathers castle and visited his parents Ronald Bick and Wife Jessy, in the senior’s home very early this morning. He was happy and relaxed to see his parents happy, and it did settle Walley more. All seemed in order there, thank goodness. With that info Harris was more settled also. He had envisioned Walley getting stuck in his fathers castle. But in fact, Walley was tying up ends, as many were. Walley had other belongings in that castle and will get them moved to Harris’s mansion in Bain, if Harris agrees. Of course he did. He feels responsible to Walley for Walley has been of immense help in past.
–
… What happened to chuck? After a while, Chuck heard from Harris and Explorers, of what was happening. Chuck asked Harris of taking the residence upon Revenge’s old home. Walley and Harris agreed for to them it was already Chucks area. So said area got total renovation. Instead of a back porch light, the area now has street lights. And in fact, Chuck opened whole area with the help of Harris’s builders. Chuck now rents his old home including picnic area, to any who wish a holiday away from main stream desert. He also guards tunnel entranceways. With this, he became chummy with the residence in tunnel. Those people were out of work for Revenge and Solo were given work in other lands.
… That whole system in desert, relied on the Dictator Charly and the slave traffic through Windshire. Thus in the tunnels, some left, but others stayed and helped Chuck opened up system to become a shopping area. Later this area flourished, for not only was there the artesian wells in desert, Terrance Tass also got water and electricity, piped through from Sheridan’s northern Dam. Now there is ample water for crops and shops within total area.
… Chuck also did a lot of reforestation, and has built a big camping ground called Revenge’s retreat, situated near the Revenge river. Chuck made sure to leave path to Tunnels as was, so our group and others would remember what all transpired through that era. Now with picnic tables under that big tree, where others had hid, many persons come to eat with the birds, and it is a well shaded area from that hot summer sun.

Getting Father Settled.
… As time went on, all settled and got used to their new stations. But on Harris’s mind was Still his wife. He talked to Dye several times recently, and I feel will call him again to travel there. With so much going on in Harris’s area of water piping being put in from Sheridan’s Northern Dam, Harris needed a break. What better break than to travel to a castle and stay with Son for a few days. He told all in his area, especially Walley, who was still staying in his mansion. Walley encouraged Harris to travel to son’s castle. He knew how anxious Terrance was to reunite with wife. Walley and Dye talked of situation often and these two friends got Harris to travel to that Castle in the distance, where Terrance’s Son was residing. Dye is awaiting fathers arrival now.
… This time when approaching the castle, it was very different to Harris. Before they came upon castle suddenly, for came through grass and hill as to not be known. But this time Harris came by cab and could see the castle in plain sight as it came closer to him. He was pleased with the ambiance of lawn and tree, leading to this almost white building with many ornate spirals and peaks upon the vast roof, of this, his son’s home. Once the servants allowed Harris within, he was very relaxed with the meeting of Deb and Dye again. He could see that the two had settled into this home well, and they were at peace also. The servants were always there in corners awaiting any orders. Bick was a tyrant so his servants were very nervous usually. Now they are relaxed and friendly but still kept their post well. Habit you know. Dye and Deb talked much to Harris, of past and of future. After all, they were family, and Harris was answering more and more to Tass.
… A week later, Dynamos, Debra and Terrance found their way to mom’s, and all is right with their worlds. (Mom, Mary did almost faint, but she had three loving persons to catch her.) The three could see that she was just making ends meet. The reunion was good but Terrance and her had much to solve yet. Dye and Deb managed to persuade mom Mary, to come stay at Bick’s castle for a time. They all went there and stayed another week, before Terrance had to go back to Bain.
… Terrance had much to do after being away almost a month. But Mary wished to stay in the castle, and as time passed, Mary’s home was sold for a good amount of money. This helped her also, for she felt she could join in on fun stuff, now. Eventually, I am sure Mary and Terrance will live in Harris’s mansion, with Walley visiting often. I am also Sure that Walley, Terrance and Mary will visit family at Dynamo’s Castle in the distance. Walley for the memories of youth and Terrance with wife Mary, for a visit with their son, King Dynamos Tass?
